New to the OSx86 world and I'd like to try my hand at triple booting my system once Slackware 15 releases. Ideally using rEFInd to boot into any of the systems. I updated my signature to reflect my current, long term, build.

I will be honest, a bit of an information overload between OpenCore and Clover. If someone could point me to the "ELI5" that has terminology explained and possibly where to start reading the relevant information for my system I would be most appreciative.

This is a great resource for OpenCore https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/ and some information can be used for clover as well.
Personally I use clover as my boot loader as it does not inject macOS info into other operating systems.
I triple boot all my systems with windows and arch Linux.
Refind can be used to boot OpenCore, windows and Linux and this will bypass OpenCore injection macOS info to your other operating systems but adds an extra menu which is why I use clover.
This is my opinion and preference nothing more.
