phi777
Please help, after upgrading to 11.5.2 after a few hours I get a double cursor, 2cm next to the real one and the display hangs and nothing is clickable anymore... Any ideas??? Before I had uptimes for days without any problem, now 2 times in 8 hours. Edit: The ventilators and cooling pipes on my ATi580 get really hot now, before the fans (no dust) didn't even spin. In activity manager there is no load on cpu or gpu. Allan
After the macOS upgrade, did you tested if clear the NVRam can solve it?
phi777
Allan, thank you for moving the post! Clearing the nvram didn't help (no hangup so far, but gpu is getting too warm), but it could also be related to firefox, which I upgraded to v91.0 before upgrading macOS from 11.5.1 to 11.5.2. Edit: Testing this takes a lot of time (to wait for the error)... Edited August 14, 2021 by phi777
phi777
Well, it seems that the problem is solved. It doesn't occur anymore. I think it could be related to some photo indexing or spotlight upgrading the index after the upgrade...
Allan
Yeah the Spotlight indexing consume a lot of processing. Glad to hear that is fixed 😄
