Nathan Arkov 0
Hi there, i'm new here and i'm new in the macOS world. I would like to install a dual boot Windows 10 / macOS Mojave on my computer, just because i would like to try mac and i don't have enough money to buy one. I documented myself on the internet but i would like to know if my computer can be turned into a Hackintosh. Here's the specs : Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H CPU: Intel i5 3570k 3.4gHz GPU: Nvidia GTX 660 2gb RAM: Crucial Balistix Sport 8gb DDR3 1600MHz Storage : SSD Intel Maple Crest 120gb + Seagate Barracuda SATA III 2To I learned that i have to buy a second ssd to install Mojave, but do i need to change anything else ? Thanks for the time you spent reading my message !
iCanaro 1,631
you're fully compatible, you'll just have to study OC or Clover as a boot loader and which ssdt and kext to use

I'll look this up, but i saw somewhere on the internet that the Nvidia GPU won't work with Mojave, is it true ? I don't really know the difference between Mojave, High Sierra etc, what is the difference between these ? Does it matter ?
iCanaro 1,631
the nvidia 660 is native OOB you can also use it with big sur non-native nvidia are supported up to Pascal with the help of webdrivers, so at most in those cases you can install high sierra

So i won't have dark mode with high sierra since it's only on Mojave ?
