NetBladeZ
For the benefit of those who wish to know what software works and what doesn't, lets write our experiences! I'll Start: 1. Microsoft Office 2004 - Fully working 2. Adobe CS2 Suite - a) Photoshop CS2 ( Surprisingly Good Speed ) Illustrator CS2 (Works Well) c) GoLive! CS2 (Works Well) d) the rest works well too. 3. Macromedia Software a) Dreamweaver MX 8 - Woks, but kinda laggy Contribute - kinda slow c) Flash, useable. All this with no accelerated graphics as yet. Anyone tried games on this? Fizzball works perfectly without acceleration. The kinda stuff girlfriends and wives would play:) haha. NetBladeZ
Ow My! Cold Wars is absolutely amazing. Graphics stutter free, in 1280x1024x32 and even via my Dinovo Logitech WIreless keyboard, reaction time is excellent. SNes and Nintendo 64 emulators work like a charm Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34484-software-that-i-have-tested-so-far-on-osx86/#findComment-251389 Share on other sites

wow
1. Mathematica 52 works 2. Audio hijack pro works too but is very cpu intensive in mp3 best quality recording, recording webradio in best quality mp3 vbr 320kps takes 70% avg cpu. When making a windows smaller the sound hic for as sec. So that one is not really usefull. My pc takes only 15% for the same task. 3. iGrabnews works. 4. Firefox 2.0 works but on a certain page it crashes each time (was java related. Safari works there) 5. visual hubs works too. 6. cocktail works 7. stellarium works Edited December 23, 2006 by wow Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34484-software-that-i-have-tested-so-far-on-osx86/#findComment-260491 Share on other sites

d@mian
D975XBX2 with 2GB RAM, 250GB/500GB SATA/3, Pioneer 112D DVD, Sapphire x1600/512 running on JaS 10.4.8/8.8.1: Adobe: Photoshop CS2, Illustrator CS2, InDesign CS2, Acrobat 7 Pro - All work fast and flawlessly excep Acrobat a bit slow. Apple: iLife'06, iWork'06, Final Cut Express 3.5 HD, Quicktime 7.1, DVD Player, Apeture - All work amazinly well. Did a simple video capture and burn using firewire connection on FCE without a hitch. Microsoft: Office 2004, Messenger, Windows Media Player - Work fine though a bit slow but completely useable Macromedia: MX Studio 2004, MX Studio 8 - All work fine. Dreamweaer MX2004 feels as fast as on the PC, which is slow. MX8 seems a bit faster, but kinda buddy I think. Limewire Pro 4.12: What can I say... Works as expected. Firefox 2.0: Works as expected. Roxio Toast 7: Works as expected. Epson CX7800 All-In-One: Works excellently using latest Univeral Binary drivers from Epson. AppZapper: Works as expected. Flip4Mac (Windows Media plug-in for Quicktime): Works great! Quicken 2007: Works as expected Stuffit Deluxe 11: Works as expected, but perhaps a bit slow. No games... yet! Headrush69
Wouldn't it be a shorter list to list things that don't work? The only thing I have that is a problem is Marine Aquarium 2.6. The program works fine, but the app refusing to accept my bought serial number when tried on any Hackintosh. They must do some kind of explicit check, as the same serial works on any real Mac. (They won't answer emails.) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34484-software-that-i-have-tested-so-far-on-osx86/#findComment-330275 Share on other sites
