USB Power Dropping - Z390 Aorus Pro

Hi there,

I have been trying to fix a USB crash issue for quite some time now. The computer remains running but every single usb port dies so I am unable to continue using it (as I am using an integrated bluetooth/usb card).

I am using OpenCore but the problem persists with Clover.

I have remapped my USB Ports on a number of occasions and double checked my config.plist but it continues to happen at sporadic moments. Im starting to wonder if it's the f12d bios, has anyone else had any experience similar?

Any help would be VERY appreciated, Im close to buying a new mobo.

The problem is not with OpenCore but with Gigabyte and the Z390 Pro, It can happen in Linux and Windows aswell.

I have tried pestering Gigabyte about it in the past and they acknowledged the fault and said a fix will be issued via a firmware update but it never was.
It’s actually one of the reasons I jumped away from the Z390 Pro and got a Master instead.

The Z390 Pro has many flaws and it’s a fan favourite for macOS and for good reason too but the flaws are abit bad. :(

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your mission to fix USB is fruitless.
