davidm71
Hi, Got an Asmedia SATA card and the two drives attached to it appear with eject buttons in the finder. Is there a way to get rid of that and make them look as internal drives should look? There must be a patch to put into the plist file? Running Opencore 5.8 Catalina 15.4 Thank you Edit: Think I found a solution here: Reddit solution to problem Edited April 25, 2020 by davidm71 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/343569-internal-sata-drives-have-eject-buttons-normal/ Share on other sites
luki1979
Keep in mind that Apple stopped using Sata in 2012. Eject button is normal for this type of connection. I don't think your system needs Nvme kext, third party Nvme are now natively supported in new OSX including trim. Try using third party Sata kext maybe that will get rid of eject button? davidm71
I’m not using Nvme kext. I just quoted someone else’s problem which worked for me. The guy did two things. First he added a deviceproperty for the pcie device path he copied from Hackintool with a ‘built-in’ property set at ‘010000000’. Then he turned on Externaldiskicons quirk. I only added one device property but all my controllers got fixed so I think Externaldiskicons is all you need. Looks right now.
