Strange issue, laptop for the most part runs flawless. But, For some reason at times the CPU will scale to max and just stay their non stop. 3.7Ghz. Sometimes after a few reboots the cpu will idle and scale normal again. Ive tried CPUFriend, SSDTs, CPUFriendFriend Method, Etc. None make any difference. Currently I'm using MBP 15,2 SMBios. I was running MBP 14,1. Neither have made any difference with Power Management. Using Generate plugintype via Clover. x86PlatformPlugin is loading, so I'm at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just trying to get this machine to idle properly. It kills the battery QUICK lol.

Thanks for this Maldon!. But CPU is still running wide open. Swapped with your Clover folder. All still boots fine and runs smooth, KernelTask in activity monitor is running extremely high all the time.

One recent thing i have noticed is when i change my audio codec ID for AppleALC. I have an ALC295 and use ID 13. All sound works. But CPU runs wide open. If i input the incorrect ID say ID 7 or 11 or 56 etc. I have no sound output. But my CPU idles normal. Any ideas?

Figured it out. This is an AppleALC issue for me. Dumped raw audio codec info via Linuxmint live usb. Copied that data into Headkaze's PinConfig tool to generate pinconfigdata for AppleALC. CPU now idles correctly. Also CPU idles now after wake from sleep. Happy camper :)
