In this thread, I have fully documented the installation of macOS Catalina on my HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini. It is a PERFECT HackMini8,1 and is running very well for me without any issues. I hope this documentation helps you to install macOS on your hack. Please leave feedback if you think there is anything I can improve and let me know if you have any questions.
This is my first "modern" hack supporting UEFI and my first hack using Clover "on-the-fly" patches. My previous hacks
Laptop: Thinkpad T61 / Nvidia NVS 140m Laptop: Dell Latitude E6410 / Nvidia G3100m Desktop: Gigabyte G31 / GeForce 9600 Desktop: Biostar TH55HD / Sapphire Pulse RX580 (Google "Catalina Biostar TH55HD" and look for user name deeveedee)
are all perfectly running Catalina and I patched them all "manually" - all DSDT patches applied with MaciSL with virtually no Clover on-the-fly patching and all booted Legacy Clover. This UEFI hack was MUCH easier and took about 20 hours vs. a combined hundreds of hours for the old hacks. I wanted a hack that was a little more future proof and I think this is it. I hope you enjoy this as much as I am enjoying it. It is a perfect MacMini8,1.
My system specs
HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini (I7-8700T / UHD 630 / Q370 Chipset / 32GB DDR4 RAM) 3 x DP Ports (connected to monitors using DP -> DVI adapters) 6 x USB 3.1 1 x USB Type-C 3.1 2 x NVMe SSD (M.2 PCIe x4 2280/2230 combo ports) 1 x SATA6 SSD 1 x Intel Ethernet RJ-45 Conexant CX20632 Audio Codec Unsupported M.2 PCIe x1 2230 Intel Wi-Fi (currently disabled in BIOS). I may replace this with Brcm, but am using only Ethernet (IntelMausi) for now.

What is not working
Wi-Fi / Bluetooth (intentional since I have not yet replaced my Intel card).
What is not tested
USB c 3.1 port (I have partially tested the USB 3 functionality of the port and it seems to be working fine with the SSDT-UIAC.aml here) Microphone port
What is working
Everything not mentioned above Sleep / Wake Multiple displays with IGPU graphics acceleration, hot pluggable display ports and DP->DVI adapters USB 3.1 ports Audio (internal speaker and headphone jack) Ethernet Auto-sensing headphone jack automatically switches to internal speaker when headphones removed

Hi Im am a complety noob on this of the hackintosh world, and with all im from spain so its difficult.
I have installed HIgh SIerra woth Aorus Z390 pro wifi, 16GBRam, 8700K, GTX 1060
I have succesfully follow the guide from Dortania.
But i`ve figured out i need a patch for mi SSDT-PLUG acpi to work well on mi mobo,. i will link it.
Then hardware aceleration doest work, ive iltalled nvidia web drivers and lilu and watervergreen are wonking properly, tested witrh comands on Dortania GUide NVRAM works too.
and for the best part im having freezes that are sooo anoying. Ya i need so much help im asking for a lot but.
The help will be so much appreciate it.
good night guys. Have a nice year.
I followed the OC guide, and installed Catalina 10.15.5 on my PC.
The installation went very well. Most parts also work well after I login to the desktop except the following
Each time I tried to log back into the desktop from sleep, I would get a black screen very shortly after I entered the desktop.
And black screen will last from a few seconds to a few minutes, no exact lasting time.
Keyboards and mouse are still working during black screen, I can see the operations after the monitor works again.
It connects LG monitor via DP port and I tried to modified the dp version between 1.2 and 1.4, got the same issue.
Attached my entire OC folder, I'm so appreciated if someone could help me check it out, or tell me which part I should focus on.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. Here is my PC summary: Dell Optiplex 7060 MFF

BIOS v1.4.2 OC.zip
Hey guys, I'm new here, so hello world!
Here we go.
I have the following configuration:
Gigabyte Aorus Master Z390 i9 9900K Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro+ Corsair Vengeance 64GB 3000Mhz Corsair H150i PRO (disconnected from the internal USB) Samsung Evo 970 1 TB - Catalina Install Intel 660p 1tb - simple storage drive
I have the latest Catalina version installed with OpenCore 0.5.8 Bootloader.
I have followed the guide, and also relied on this EFI, since I have the same hardware: https://github.com/cmer/gigabyte-z390-aorus-master-hackintosh
When idle the pc freezes - becomes unresponsive and my router disconnects from the internet (Archer C9, connected via PPPOE user/pass).
Besides the freezing issue, which I’m not sure where it comes from, the internet disconnection just puzzles me. Any ideas?
Things I tried so far:
Reset NVRAM Disabled cfg lock Removed the BT BCM94360CS2 from the internal USB port (solved the sleep issue) Removed IntelMausiEthernet.kext and disabled the NIC in BIOS - saw some similar problems related to this Used Vgtab to generate the power table for the video card (Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro+)
Also, before OC bootloader is loaded I get this message, but otherwise boots normally:
OC: Setting NVRAM 4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102:rtc-blacklist - Not Found
I'll try replacing IntelMausiEthernet.kext with IntelMausi from Acidanthera, but I don't think it will make any difference since disabling the NIC and removing IntelMausiEthernet didn't do anything.
Delete the entries from Add and Block in config.plist to remove the NVRAM error above - although since it boots I don't think it's related to my freezing issue.
Thanks in advance!
Hey all, hope you’re well :-)
Writing this from a phone so apologies in advance for formatting errors etc.
I’d like to build / am in the process of building a new machine. I started, then my mobo died and had to be rma’d and that put things on hold for a while..
Now things are are back on track here’s what I’m looking at.
I would like the system to boot Mac OS for music etc and as main / general os, Windows for gaming and Linux for development etc.
Heres the hardware I’m looking at - when I was looking at this previously I had set it up with clover but am definitely looking to go opencore this time around.
Gigabyte Aorus Pro / Aorus Pro WiFi
Corsair 650w PSU
MSI Air Boost Vega 64
970 evo 1TB (Mac)
Intel 660p 512GB (Windows)
Crucial BX500 120GB (Linux)
2TB Barracuda or WD Blue (Storage)
Fenvi FV HB-1200 WiFi / Bluetooth
Aerocool Cylon Case
I wanted to rival next generation games consoles and get a newer GPU but I will not be using Catalina due to the removal of 32 bit support. Therefore I think the vega is about as good as I can get with Mojave, and it will still work fine in windows for gaming etc.
What are your thoughts on the above hardware ?
Hack/Mac-able? / With opencore ?
Any Issues I may encounter ?
I think I have most of the drivers / kexts for opencore together already but I’m obviously unable to progress with the ssdt files without the hardware. Wanted some advice on whether or not it’s doable before I splash the cash
I’ll also add to this thread / move it appropriately as the build progresses, hopefully smoothly
peace & thanks in advance :-)
