exquirentibus
Dumb question, but ... if I already have these kexts installed to /L/E: AppleALC.kext FakeSMC.kext IntelMausi.kext Lilu.kext USBInjectAll.kext WhateverGreen.kext XHCI-unsupported.kext Do I also need to copy them to Clover/kexts/Other when upgrading from 10.14, and then delete them ( as they are not currently in Clover/kexts/Other)? And do I need to set config.plist/SystemParameters/InjectKexts=Detect so that Clover will inject all applicable (depending on version) kexts in EFI/Clover/kexts/Other only if FakeSMC.kext is NOT in kernel cache. Donw35
I have been putting kexts in E/C/k/O only. I like to leave the system intact and only need to configure the EFI partition. updates and upgrades have been no issue. My 2 cents Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/341976-if-weg-lilu-etc-exist-in-1014-le-when-upgrade-to-1015-are-they-needed-in-cloverkextsother/#findComment-2702600 Share on other sites
deeveedee
A "minimal set" as @Hervé suggested is my preference, since my systems multi-boot different macOS versions. Keeping a minimal set of kexts in E/C/k/O allows me to boot multiple macOS versions with the same EFI. Kexts unique to each macOS are in /L/E.
