I7 6 CORE 3.7GHZ - 8GB RX580 - Catalina 10.15.1 Update - Black screen

Hi Guys,


I have been trying to update my hackintosh to Catalina 10.15.1. But i get a black screen after booting it up. 

Im guessing it due to my config not being right, i would appreciate it if i could get a fresh set of eyes to look at my config and let me know if its okay ? Here are my specs

 

mobo: Z370 Pro series

CPU: I7 6 CORE 3.7GHZ

GRAPHICS: 8GB RX 580

your Clover folder is probably not the problem but could be, first, are you using the display port on your RX580 ?. My experience is only the display ports work correctly for me on my 580.

 

You have the correct kexts

 

in your config.plist, remove the ig-platform-id, you don't need that. you have a lot of boot args and I don't know what they do. 

 

try to get things working with the lest amount of options.

Hi, thanks for your reply, I will give that a go and get back to you. 

 

I am using HDMI not display ports, However will give this a try also. 

 

if you have any other ideas or advice please let me know.

I had a black screen, issue is purely graphic card related.

First update to newest WhateverGreen https://github.com/acidanthera/WhateverGreen/releases

and if still black screen try booting with agdpmod=pikera

 

Worked for me.
