Hello everyone

I noticed something very strange on my hackintosh.

Basically, after a bit of researching and fiddling now everything works, save a very few minor glitches such as the speed not being reported correctly in About My Mac.

My hardware is the following:

Asrock Conroe 945G-DVI bios 1.3

Core 2 Duo 1.8

512MB ram (soon ro be upgraded)

SATA2 HD

ATI Radeon x1800GTO @ XT, Neopheus Natit installer, works perfectly and totally.

So what happens?

When I run World of Warcraft, it is slightly speeded up than normal. My character runs, casts and fights faster than everyone else. If I overclock my system, this "problem" gets even worse. This kind of compromises the gameplay, and I have no clue of why this happens. Normally overclock still keeps the game speed at nominal level. Well, not in this case, and even at normal processor speed, the game is very slightly speeded up.

I apologise in advance if I explained the problem in a very bad way, but I guess this happens for some system glitch that should be fixed.

Please advise.

Let me expand on that....if you are running one of the new 10.4.8 kernels it sounds like you do not have you FSB set correctly. Does your system clock also run fast? Do you have odd glitches in your audio? If this is the case I would recommend one of the newer versions of the 10.4.8 kernel that have improved FSB auto detection. Personally I use the DaemonES kernel and it works great.

Thanks everyone.

I solved it by updating the kernel with th very smart Online Updater found here:

Absolutely awesome. Now the system speed is also correctly displayed. Only RAM now is seen as 0 MHZ SDRAM... Would love to see it displayed correctly one day.

And YES! Thats the only minor glitch left now on my machine. I will make an image of this installation, it works just too well.

Next step: Modding a G5 case, on its way to me, will keep you guys posted.

And keep on with the great job, it's very funny also for non-experts such as myself!
