MacRetail
You were using Windows XP? Even if you were using OSX86, this shouldn't happen. This indicates that your PC has a bad computer design. It think it's cheap PC junk. I have PC's here too, it's a nightmare (Standby-mode doens't work, BSOD because of overheating, noise...), my Mac mini is the only computer wich works OK. Just buy Macs from now on, they don't have such issues. devilhood
MacRetail: The thing isn't to simply recommend a Mac, although I would agree it is the easier to just settle on that because Apple = top notch with hardware. The thing with mass produced affordable PC's from companies like Packard Bell, Tiny, Acer and what-knot. They are simply just that, mass produced affordable PC's with very little quality inside the case. If you want a 100% stable and quality built PC, it's best to get them custom built from web-sites that allow you to pick and choose the hardware you want; because not only do they build it for you, but they do overnight burn-in tests to ensure that the computer you are receiving is perfectly stable. However, if you're like me, you'd order the parts and build it yourself, which is what I love to do.
