You were using Windows XP? Even if you were using OSX86, this shouldn't happen. This indicates that your PC has a bad computer design. It think it's cheap PC junk.

I have PC's here too, it's a nightmare (Standby-mode doens't work, BSOD because of overheating, noise...), my Mac mini is the only computer wich works OK.

Just buy Macs from now on, they don't have such issues.

MacRetail: The thing isn't to simply recommend a Mac, although I would agree it is the easier to just settle on that because Apple = top notch with hardware.

The thing with mass produced affordable PC's from companies like Packard Bell, Tiny, Acer and what-knot. They are simply just that, mass produced affordable PC's with very little quality inside the case.

If you want a 100% stable and quality built PC, it's best to get them custom built from web-sites that allow you to pick and choose the hardware you want; because not only do they build it for you, but they do overnight burn-in tests to ensure that the computer you are receiving is perfectly stable.

However, if you're like me, you'd order the parts and build it yourself, which is what I love to do.
