applemonkey
Everything went smoothly with the installation. Things that are not working though: my onboard audio does not show up Downloaded this kext from https://github.com/acidanthera/applealc/releases but no success and my Asus wifi card will not be recognized. USB-AC53 Nano ***Fixed** but sidecar is not working, it says wi-fi is not enabled on device. Does anyone know which kext will work for my audio I have an Asus ROG Maximus Hero XI Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Edited October 8, 2019 by applemonkey Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/340587-upgraded-to-catalina-no-audio/ Share on other sites

Does WiFi work for you? I have an issue where trying to install drivers from Asus website, causes "Package incompatible" message. Wifi works but not native in the network settings have to connect using the asus software. Side car sees my iPad but i get connection timed out when I attempt to connect. 8 hours ago, Hervé said: What's your audio codec? You need to inject the correct audio layout... But if you "upgraded" to Catalina from a previous OS X/macOs installation that had audio working, there's no reason why it would stop now. I honestly don't know. It was working fine in Mojave, but the line out option is missing. The codec is S1220, I changed the layout from 1 to 11 8 hours ago, Hervé said: What's your audio codec?
