thunder94
Hi everyone, I need a hand on my hackintosh. My pc is made up of an i7 2700k, Asus P8H61M-LX, 8GB DDR3 RAM and the integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics card. I managed to install Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6, everything works except the video card which is recognized as HD 2000 with 7mb. I have followed several guides but without success. I am not a very experienced hackintosh user but I hope to find someone to help me. thunder94
I understand thanks for the very detailed answer but at the moment I don't have much money to acquire a video card even from the paltry cost, I wanted to try to adapt the HD 3000 just for this reason. For better or worse, the system works, only slowing down when the graphics card is obviously needed. Is there really nothing that can be done? chris1111
Your Config.plist is not good use the one attaching here and the Clover Drivers Try the new config and if is not work, reinstall macOS 10.14.6 like the way I did fresh installation Dont use Whatevergreen.kext , its not required drivers.zip config.plist.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/340156-problem-with-intel-hd-3000-mojave-10146/#findComment-2689492 Share on other sites

thunder94
Thanks guys, really very kind, it's almost all clear to me, I have only a few things to be sure about. @chris1111 in addition to the files you posted to me do I also have to apply the patch indicated in the last post? Do I also have to follow the suggestions of @Hervé? @Hervé with regard to the fake id was not my mistake, simply if I put 0x01268086 the system does not start, if I put 0x0126 yes for this I left it like this. UPDATE: I tried with the files that @chris1111 kindly offered me but the system does not start, I attach the photo to show you where it crashes, if I remove inject intel or insert ig platform and the fake id that I have always used the system yes starts but always gives me HD 3000 with 7MB of VRAM. Maybe I know I should format, in the latter case can you help me prepare everything i need to format and insert a clean system? thunder94
After several attempts always the same old story, so I decided to open a topic I hope for in the right section to help me install Mojave correctly or even another version of MacOS more compatible with my system. if you want the link this is it: https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/340276-help-for-mojave-10146-on-intel-sandy-bridge-desktop-system/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/340156-problem-with-intel-hd-3000-mojave-10146/#findComment-2689626 Share on other sites
Guest ricoc90
Since your main question in that topic is about your graphics, for which you already created this topic, may I ask why you've created it? According to your last picture your system does start, but the iGPU doesn't do its job. Most likely due to the fact that the needed kexts/frameworks aren't (correctly) installed or due to a faulty config. thunder94
I created the other topic because, given the various attempts that didn't lead to a good result, I know that the problem is at the base and I asked if someone could help me to install from scratch the system with the right tricks and directives , or who knows I have the wrong version of the system and I have to put another or even change its system and try high sierra or sierra. Sorry if I created too many topics related to the topic Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/340156-problem-with-intel-hd-3000-mojave-10146/#findComment-2689630 Share on other sites

Guest ricoc90
Running High Sierra on the HD 3000 should work without issues. E.g. on my HD 3000 system (which I actually got to work with help of both Hervé and Chris1111) I only selected "inject intel" with some kext patches: IIRC other than "Inject Intel" I did not add any platform-id or whatsoever; these were picked up per default by Clover. I never used the HD 3000 on Mojave+, but I guess once you get it to work under High Sierra it won't be much trouble to make it work under Mojave (albeit with limitations). ARGAMX
Hello Guys. Hi @thunder94 I have faced the same problem with i3 2600k and integrated Intel HD 3000 and Mojave. All was work perfect before I have updated from High Sierra to Mojave. Update was success, all things work, except VRAM, which was indicates as 7 mb instead of 512 mb. Screen lags too much. I have installed this patchhttps://github.com/chris1111/Fix-Graphics-HD-3000-Mojave-10.14 But this didn't help. After that I found this thread. I try chris1111 config, but it didn't change anything too. config didn't help. with drivers my Clover even can't boot. so I have moved back to my config and drivers which was OK on High Sierra. After that I started to playing with Clover Configurator and after some attempts I got success. I do not understand which config settings give that result. I just uploading my config as is. makk
Herve' and Chris1111 I have been trying many options in Clover Config to scale down the artifacts and sudden freezes. in Mojave. I was given a new idea and tried this way without having to write in many different tabs in the config.plist. In Devices>Properties> using Audio and Graphics for HD3000 and HDMI and HDEF. This eliminates having to write in >KextstoPatch. Then I used the ACPIPM patch to Patch the MSR blocking to remove the the two checks. Used Chris1111 latest HD3000 Mojave kexts. The VRAM patch is for High Sierra to increase 512mb to 1024mb but this does not work. I placed this patch in Devices>Properites> snb-platform-id: section Graphics I read where also the AppleIntelHD3000.kext need a Info.plist patch. But where does this go and what values to insert? I am using AppleALC.kext for Audio insertion which takes the place of having to patch the HDA.kext Using Whatevergreen.kext to patch the Graphics Using Lilu.kext to patch the system. But, the artifacts increase as time goes by. Memory issues I suspect. Plus the DSDT is so ancient and EHCI cannot convert to EHO1 or 2. No USB 2.0. Console issue grabbing the write factors in registry. hard to figure out when the wrong ones are placed. I had created a DSDT according to instructions way back when in Sierra days. have used this one to date. So it is quite messed up. With Whatevergreen.kext, no need to change the names, renaming scheme. Causes problems. Same with AppleALC.kext. have to change the DSDT to GFX0 and remove the Audio. But when removing the HDMI and audio for sandybridge in DSDT no audio nor HDMI. Strange. Could you please take a look at these? makk
Thanks, Mojave has issues with HD3000. Best to run Sierra. I no longer have this laptop. to the grave. RIP. Too many glitches with the graphics. It degrades over time. and does not resurrect. in Windows the graphics slowed down significantly. Sandybridge, difficult to run and maintain above Sierra. The glitches are intermittent at first then it gets worse. El Captain -- Sierra runs best for HD3000 other than that good for the grave.
