NET
Ok, problems resolved: {censored}:~ admin$ uname -a Darwin {censored}.local 8.8.1 Darwin Kernel Version 8.8.1: Sun Oct 29 01:33:16 MSD 2006; vit:xnu-792.13.8/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386 i386 i386 as I written before, i have installed the system from my old instalation pointing systeminstall package from dvd to prepared clean slice, than I've made a copy of mach_kernel and installed 10.4.8 combo update from apple website, than changed back the kernel to the saved before, changed some kexts, repaired permissions and rebooted with cpus=1 -x 1. on native install everything works stable, i have puted ApplePS2Controler.kext to Extensions folder, and my touchpad and keyboard works, i have delated both i915 kexts(AppleIntel915GA.plugin and AppleIntel915GLDriver.Bundle.kext from thesame folder) I have now full CI QE as profiler shows. i can work on 2 displays. Display: Resolution: 1280 x 800 Depth: 32-bit Color Built-In: Yes Core Image: Supported Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Supported 2. first problem with apic (no booting at all) resolved by cpus=1, right now i found that it depands on AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext (i just moved it out of extensions folder , just like the i915 kexts) Profiler shows both cpus with proper cache and frequency but i wounder is it safe ? maby the cpu might overheat ? dunno Hardware Overview: Machine Name: Mac Machine Model: ACPI Processor Name: Intel Core Duo Processor Speed: 1.67 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache (per processor): 2 MB Memory: 1 GB Bus Speed: 667 MHz 3. smart works with my harddrive (smartlib.plugin) S.M.A.R.T. status: Verified 4. and now most important, i have resolved the "blue screen problem" there is no need to make any dongles, or use another external display. i'm writing from this sytem right now so it works. i must test exactly how it works and how to control the output source thru the system and i'll post my solution later as you see even with fuc#ed ISO just using a bit of imagination everyone can get his os x back to work 10.4.1 with 8.8.1 works flowesly, no hangs, much faster, external harddrives seems to work twice or more faster, graphics and folder actions very fast (better than on my old 10.4.7, and 10.4.8 with 8.4.1 kernel) thx all 4 help , now i have to make my sound IntelHD 883,lan ,webcam,PCCard and cardreader working cheers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/33836-1048-jas-problems/page/2/#findComment-248406 Share on other sites

NET
Are you saying you've been doing this since deadmoo I remember the time when there was only ircnet channel and there was no osx86 project , but i had no time to work under it , i just have made some stuff for a few friends and my self, I've started my own company, finishing studyes, working on projects abroad always on my way, so there was no time for osx "hacking" right now i'm back in campus with a bit of free time :> (http://datasec.biz) my website (official right now under reconstruction, so it's poor, but always can say something more about me and what do I do from time to time P.S. booting iso with cpus=1 makest it booting but the external display is needed (i have blue screen) strange because i have installed the same system from the same dvd from 10.4.7 running and it displays on a build in display strange, i'm tryeing to figureout how i've made it to work :/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/33836-1048-jas-problems/page/2/#findComment-248867 Share on other sites
Rammjet
Blue screen typically plagues laptops with Intel graphics regardless of needing cpus=1 or not. And usually happens for installation as well as iso. NET
Blue screen typically plagues laptops with Intel graphics regardless of needing cpus=1 or not. And usually happens for installation as well as iso. i know that cpus=1 has nothing to do with blue screen maby i'm writing not clearly(i'm sorry for that) but i have said about booting iso with cpus=1 because normaly it cannot boot at all because ip this apic error at the beggening. and what i wounder is that : native install from my iso doesn't have blue screen , but installer has it, my old 10.4.7 hadn't the blue screen, but afther upgrade to real 8.8.1 it has, so the problem is somwhere in the binary, but it is much much work to find the difference, im loocking for it right now. it must be binary problem and the solution is possible by moding something in binary. the same iso, the same sources acts in a two different ways on the same hardware in the same time, with the same apps and that means that we can control that behavior (i culdn't find the software solutions for it on forum , or i'm wrong and there is someone who had resolved the problem) i'm not ineterested in any hardware solution (pins/shorts) because it should't besolved in that way and second - it for example won't works on my hardware. the 8.8.1 system is stable and fast i've solved the problems with installation so i have two osx installs on two slices both 10.4.8 8.8.1 and one has got bluescreen and the second one hasn't, the same kexts afaik copied from the one with bluescreen to the one without it now the question why is it so and what makes the difference ? really really strange thing right now fighting with the rest of the hardware support Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/33836-1048-jas-problems/page/2/#findComment-248889 Share on other sites
