makiwara
Hello all, I have a very strange behaviour on my old Mojave install. I keep on having kernel panic if I am not using -v at boot. if I have it everything is fine. I've seen a very old post with that with apparently problems on kexts. I've tried to boot without all non essential kexts but that doesn't help. to update to last clover version remove any patch of config.plist Any clue ? Trying VirtualSMC iso FakeSMC ? Thanks The last loaded kext is changing from panic to panic depending on which kexts are loaded Anonymous UUID: 7BFFDDEC-B6F0-6DD0-8AC0-79222A4788E5 Mon Dec 3 20:30:38 2018 *** Panic Report *** panic(cpu 1 caller 0xffffff80070d87bd): Kernel trap at 0xffffff8007606870, type 14=page fault, registers: CR0: 0x000000008001003b, CR2: 0xffffff8007b5bbc1, CR3: 0x0000000011be5000, CR4: 0x00000000001626e0 RAX: 0x0000000000000000, RBX: 0x0000000000007e02, RCX: 0x0000000000000000, RDX: 0xffffff802c322a20 RSP: 0xffffff81eb263b10, RBP: 0xffffff81eb263b10, RSI: 0xffffff7f8780e944, RDI: 0xffffff8007b5bbc1 R8: 0xffffff802c52b8e8, R9: 0x0000000001000007, R10: 0x0000000000000001, R11: 0x0000000000000000 R12: 0x00000000000bd030, R13: 0xffffff81eaa37000, R14: 0xffffff802c557db8, R15: 0xffffff7f8780e944 RFL: 0x0000000000010246, RIP: 0xffffff8007606870, CS: 0x0000000000000008, SS: 0x0000000000000000 Fault CR2: 0xffffff8007b5bbc1, Error code: 0x0000000000000000, Fault CPU: 0x1, PL: 0, VF: 2 Backtrace (CPU 1), Frame : Return Address 0xffffff81eb2635e0 : 0xffffff8006faca1d 0xffffff81eb263630 : 0xffffff80070e6b13 0xffffff81eb263670 : 0xffffff80070d859a 0xffffff81eb2636e0 : 0xffffff8006f59ca0 0xffffff81eb263700 : 0xffffff8006fac437 0xffffff81eb263820 : 0xffffff8006fac283 0xffffff81eb263890 : 0xffffff80070d87bd 0xffffff81eb263a00 : 0xffffff8006f59ca0 0xffffff81eb263a20 : 0xffffff8007606870 0xffffff81eb263b10 : 0xffffff80076063d7 0xffffff81eb263b50 : 0xffffff8007606c03 0xffffff81eb263bc0 : 0xffffff8007604ca5 0xffffff81eb263c50 : 0xffffff8007605649 0xffffff81eb263cc0 : 0xffffff80075d2cb1 0xffffff81eb263da0 : 0xffffff80075d0b7c 0xffffff81eb263e10 : 0xffffff80075de728 0xffffff81eb263e60 : 0xffffff800764dcdb 0xffffff81eb263e80 : 0xffffff800762b9b1 0xffffff81eb263f00 : 0xffffff800762b597 0xffffff81eb263f50 : 0xffffff800762d066 0xffffff81eb263fa0 : 0xffffff8006f590ce BSD process name corresponding to current thread: Unknown Boot args: arch=x86_64 Mac OS version: Not yet set Kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 18.0.0: Wed Aug 22 20:13:40 PDT 2018; root:xnu-4903.201.2~1/RELEASE_X86_64 Kernel UUID: DF83AD37-501E-3B4F-B1F0-04F3AC90FE35 Kernel slide: 0x0000000006c00000 Kernel text base: 0xffffff8006e00000 __HIB text base: 0xffffff8006d00000 System model name: iMac13,2 (Mac-FC02E91DDD3FA6A4) System uptime in nanoseconds: 916946554 last loaded kext at 887806282: com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCIPCI 1.2 (addr 0xffffff7f88290000, size 196608) loaded kexts: org.hwsensors.driver.ACPISensors 1800 org.hwsensors.driver.SMMSensors 1800 org.hwsensors.driver.CPUSensors 1800 org.netkas.driver.FakeSMC 1800 as.vit9696.WhateverGreen 1.2.4 as.vit9696.Lilu 1.2.8 org.tgwbd.driver.NullCPUPowerManagement 1.0.0d2 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIButtons 6.1 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIEC 6.1 com.apple.driver.AppleHPET 1.8 com.apple.driver.AppleRTC 2.0 com.apple.driver.AppleSMBIOS 2.1 com.apple.driver.AppleAPIC 1.7 com.apple.nke.applicationfirewall 190 com.apple.security.TMSafetyNet 8 com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement 220.0.0 com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCIPCI 1.2 com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBXHCI 1.2 com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBHostPacketFilter 1.0 com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily 900.4.2 com.apple.driver.AppleEFINVRAM 2.1 com.apple.driver.AppleUSBHostMergeProperties 1.2 com.apple.driver.AppleEFIRuntime 2.1 com.apple.iokit.IOSMBusFamily 1.1 com.apple.iokit.IOHIDFamily 2.0.0 com.apple.security.quarantine 3 com.apple.security.sandbox 300.0 com.apple.kext.AppleMatch 1.0.0d1 com.apple.driver.DiskImages 493.0.0 com.apple.driver.AppleFDEKeyStore 28.30 com.apple.driver.AppleEffaceableStorage 1.0 com.apple.driver.AppleKeyStore 2 com.apple.driver.AppleUSBTDM 456.200.8 com.apple.driver.AppleMobileFileIntegrity 1.0.5 com.apple.kext.CoreTrust 1 com.apple.iokit.IOUSBMassStorageDriver 145.200.2 com.apple.iokit.IOSCSIBlockCommandsDevice 408.200.1 com.apple.iokit.IOSCSIArchitectureModelFamily 408.200.1 com.apple.iokit.IOStorageFamily 2.1 com.apple.driver.AppleCredentialManager 1.0 com.apple.driver.KernelRelayHost 1 com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily 1.2 com.apple.driver.usb.AppleUSBCommon 1.0 com.apple.driver.AppleBusPowerController 1.0 com.apple.driver.AppleSEPManager 1.0.1 com.apple.driver.IOSlaveProcessor 1 com.apple.iokit.IOReportFamily 47 com.apple.iokit.IOTimeSyncFamily 700.7 com.apple.iokit.IONetworkingFamily 3.4 com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform 6.1 com.apple.driver.AppleSMC 3.1.9 com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily 2.9 com.apple.iokit.IOACPIFamily 1.4 com.apple.kec.pthread 1 com.apple.kec.Libm 1 com.apple.kec.corecrypto 1.0 EOF

makiwara
Will do. Actually I am not using arch=x86_64 in general. it is the panic trace indeed I pasted but It was one of the many attempt where I've tried several boot options to improve that. As for nullCPUPowermanagement, I used to need it before updating to my custom DSDT and considered it needed. I will give it a try without it tonight. makiwara
All right. Here's my clover folder.CLOVER.zip btw. I've tried without NullCPUPowerMangement.kext. It doesn't change anything. I can boot with -v but not in normal mode. Does anybody know what are the actual differences verbose vs regular boot ? It seems something is different what so ever. makiwara
12 minutes ago, Hervé said: Again, get rid of NullCPUPowerManagement, it basically kills CPU SpeedStep and this will affect overall performance of your Hackintosh. You've got the generated CPU-specific power management SSDT so you really do not need this kext. That's done in between. But did not change the issue. Thanks anyhow for the tweak 13 minutes ago, Hervé said: Here's a revised Clover config for you to try. config.plist.zip I am rebooting to give it a try 16 minutes ago, Hervé said: Here's a revised Clover config for you to try. config.plist.zip Thanks for the cleaning but that did not help. I still have to go verbose.
