foskvs
Sorry, i don't see your hardware specs... You don't need to patch .xml, you just need to place Lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.14 (or Other, depending on your choice). Then add the layout-id in config.plist/Devices/Audio/inject Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/336650-mojave-sound-network/#findComment-2650439 Share on other sites
hacklover
Thanks, I just have to copy and paste in my config.plist, that’s it? I will try later today and let you know. hacklover
I have found a solution for the audio : - I'm using a little usb soundcard (plug & play), no need any kext !! if you want the references, just ask me. I have a Sierra OS which is running... I tried to instal HighSierra and Mojave, the installation are OK but : - I can't boot if my Sierra disk is not plugged... - I need to use the "enter" touch to boot, no timeout... any idea? do I have to change my BIOS settings ? hacklover
No boot on Mojave. I have some different case : I have a Sierra OS which work perfectly (on an Intern SSD). This "tests" have been done on the same computer, same hardware. Hard to understand the results. 1. Only Sierra OS internal - SSD : Boot Sierra OK 2. Sierra + SSD Mojave external (USB) : Boot Mojave OK, but slow (USB connection ?) 3. Only Mojave external (USB) : Timeout OK, but no boot after the 8seconds (black Screen) 4. Only Mojave OS internal - SSD : idem, Timeout OK, but no boot after the 8seconds (black Screen) My two OS are installed on SSD, the same hardware. I used the same sata connection I used for my Sierra OS, tried the other sata port, the results are the same. I can only boot when it's plugged on my USB port and my OS SIERRA is connected, internal way. Not very usefull ! any idea ? thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/336650-mojave-sound-network/#findComment-2651440 Share on other sites
osx151212
Hi hacklover, I had similar situation with H55 chipset (desktop P7H55-LX - installation from USB drive). At first somehow I was able to install Mojave on SATA laptop hybrid HDD which has FLASH cache (probably FLASH cache somehow allowed to install). It was a test run and I had real 3.5" HDD WD 500GB disk prepared for Mojave. Installation went fine through on WD 500GB upto stage of partition/format the disk -- disktool sees the disk but can not access it properly (formatting failed with a message about last block). It doesn't matter what I tried, it did not finish. I spent many hours and at some moment decided to stop it. NOTE: If I connected same WD 500GB through SATA to USB adapter then installation went fine through and system worked fine, but USB 2.0 is slow. It made obvious that the problem was not with the disk itself but with SATA access to the disk. Latter I found a patch which by description is dedicated for ICH10 chipsets but it was successfully applied on H55 chipset. To my surprise the problem went away with the patch and now system works fine. [With laptop drive I still had a problem on reboot -- system would not detect SATA disk. I had to power off the system and power on it once more so that disk was detected again. Patch remedied reboot issue as well.]See my post with patch NOTE: probably Clover bootloader finds something in HDD with installed Sierra, but when you try to boot with only Mojave HDD this critical piece is missing. Try to compare content of EFI partitions in both disks -- you should be able to identify/find it. It might be as simple as copying config.plist file. Also remember that Mojave converts filesystem to APFS. You need or apfs.efi file in Clover/Drivers64UEFI directory if you have old Clover bootloader or you need recent version of Clover bootloader which takes care of finding apfs.efi in Mojave directory structure /usr/standalone/i386. NOTE: you can try to boot with 'do not reboot on panic' and 'keep symbols on panic' flags -- output on the screen should give a clue what could be a problem (select desired OS and press 'Space' to get access to the flags). Do not forget to press F1 in Clover bootloader to learn about available options if you are not familiar with them.Clover screenshot Good luck osx151212 Edited December 12, 2018 by osx151212 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/336650-mojave-sound-network/#findComment-2653380 Share on other sites
