ccom Posted November 6, 2018 Share Posted November 6, 2018 Hi Guys, I´m totally desperate and tried a bunch of things but my Mojave installation will always fail with the following error: imac.local com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] com.apple.displaypolicyd.191 Service exited with abnormal code 1 Is there a special kext that I need to include? I mean apple natively supports everything right? My setup is: intel i5 8400 asus m2 ssd 870 500gb corsair 16gb ballistics radeon rx580 nitro+ asus strix z370G My EFI folder is attached. I´m pretty sure I got everything right but I´m pretty new to this. I would really appreciate if someone would come up with an idea as this problem does not seem to exist in this MacOS version. EDIT: Tried to use onboard graphics when the "permitted" sign appeared with this output: UID Legacy shim 2 kext com.apple.iokit.IOHIDFamily is already loaded still waiting for root device THANKS! Remove IntelGraphicsFixup and NvidiaGraphicsFixup (once you get the latest Whatevergreean it will do the job of them both). 3. Remove VoodooHDA and restore native AppleHDA (AppleALC should be the only one required with correct layout). 4. You have 3 kexts for ethernet and only 1 port? Remove AtherosE2200Ethernet and RealttekRTL8111. 5. ccom Posted November 6, 2018 Author Share Posted November 6, 2018 First of all BIG thanks for your help it really solved the issue with the graphic card. However LAN ethernet is still not working and therefore I can´t install mojave since it can´t connect to the recovery server. Any suggestions or am I forced to buy a Wifi card? SavageAUS Posted November 6, 2018 Share Posted November 6, 2018 (edited) Asus website showed you have intel Ethernet is that correct? If so which one? The file attached should give you ethernet. Place it in EFI > ClLOVER > kexts > 10.14 or Other. Make sure all other ethernet related kexts are removed form EFI > CLOVER > kexts and S/L and S/L/E <-- if any custom kexts exist in the latter 2 places make sure you rebuild kext cache after removing them. sudo kextcache -i / Also please add your system specs to your signature.
