tikizondo94
Sorry i havent had a chance yet to test everything. I did get battery working correctly though. You were right. SMCBatteryManager works MUCH better than ACPIBatteryManager. I had both kexts running on my sierra drive and it was causing issues. Removed all instances of ACPIBatteryManager and just using SMC in Clover/Other. Flawless now. Thank you With loading 2 different Instances of clover. In my UEFI Firmware, Im able to add custom boot entrys via file manager through bios to select individual CloverEFI.64 from each drive. Then just add them as a boot entry point. "So Far" It seems to work correctly. But i could be wrong. Ill try to test Mojave again tonight and see if i can get the ball rolling. Again, Thanks for all your help and taking the time to look at my crazy issues. Its been an extreme help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/335802-dell-7559-no-brightnessbacklight-controls/page/4/#findComment-2642570 Share on other sites

I highly doubt that you would have no slider bar if the DSDT I edited for you is loading at boot. Ok, Got Brightness working in Mojave now. Your DSDT seemed to do the trick. Only issue im still having is i cannot seem to get Bluetooth working. I originally had BT working with my original setup. I "was" using SMBIOS 11,1 and BT seemed to work. Now with switching to 13,1 BT disappears. Of course i tried just going back to a MBP 11,1 but still a no go. Both 13,1 and 11,1 SmBios seem to boot just fine now and both have brightness working/sleep wake/ etc working. Of course i lose HMP when using the 11,1 smbios but im ok with that for testing. So im lost at this point. Im attaching my Original setup and my latest Working setup. Maybe you or someone can see where im going wrong. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1fOUaQWHDYyFOCazEtW4Qoj6Vt9XKU9e9 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/335802-dell-7559-no-brightnessbacklight-controls/page/4/#findComment-2643483 Share on other sites

Also, have you tried putting the BT kexts in L/E? That's where you had them before. When i load the kexts into L/E for some reason they never load into kextcache.. Ive tried the USB port patch and its made no difference. Currently im using the new USBPort.kext method from the FBPatcher.app. The process allowed me to remove my SSDT-UAIC and usbinjectall method. So far it works flawless. But, still no bluetooth.. Attached are my latest kextstat and kextcache outputs. This kext is much more memory efficient than BrcmFirmwareData.kext and is the preferred configuration. BrcmFirmwareData.kext: Most appropriate for EFI/Clover/kexts. BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext, while much more memory efficient, cannot be injected as can BrcmFirmwareData.kext I'm pretty sure that's your problem. No BT on Sierra or Mojave. Strange.... You can't use both BrcmFirmwareRepo and BrcmFirmwareData at the same time and you don't put BrcmPatchRam2 into L/E, just BrcmFirmwareRepo. I use BrcmPatchRam2 and BrcmFirmwareData in Clover/kexts because I have enough RAM that I'm not worried about memory efficiency. Try using these 2 kexts in Clover/kexts/Other (or 10.14). Be sure to remove all other instances of BT kexts, including in your other Clover folder. Added the attached kexts in Clover/Kexts/Other. Still having the same result. Ive attached my latest debug. Sorry to keep being a pain.. debug_3262.zip OK, based on your IOReg, you do not have a BT device connected via USB. Does it show up in System Information under the USB section? I'm guessing that it doesn't and that this is a USB issue. I also am wondering if you have 2 different Nvram.plists - one for each Clover installation. That might be screwing things up. I know you say that you have USB working perfectly but are you sure that all of your internal USB ports are working correctly. Is your webcam working ok? Do you have any other internal USB devices? If the BT kexts are installed correctly and you still can't get BT working, it is likely either a USB issue or a firmware issue. Do you have a Windows installation? Does BT work in Windows? If you boot to Mojave right after booting to Windows might your BT load? Check that out and let me know. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/335802-dell-7559-no-brightnessbacklight-controls/page/4/#findComment-2643674 Share on other sites

I couldnt view my webcam or BT card, multitouch devices etc. Removed kext. Added USBInjectAll and proper Kext to patch method for 10.14 and all is working again. BT seems to be working normal now. Thanks @mnfesq for all your patience with me. I know i can be a pain lol. Also i noticed i actually have my touch screen working in Sierra. So kinda a bonus lol.
