kjp4756
When I try to run the mojave installer from high sierra when using macpro5,1 I get a message saying firmware update required. I'm using clover legacy boot 4674. In my config.plist the only thing I'm setting for smbios is BoardSerialNumber, ProductName and SerialNumber. Here's what the clover boot log says: 1:571 0:000 Using ProductName from config: MacPro5,1 1:571 0:000 BiosVersion: not set, Using BiosVersion from clover 1:571 0:000 BiosVersion: MP51.88Z.0089.B00.1806081708 1:571 0:000 BiosReleaseDate: 06/08/18 1:571 0:000 Using FirmwareFeatures from clover: 0xE80FE137 1:571 0:000 Using FirmwareFeaturesMask from clover: 0xFF1FFF3F 1:571 0:000 PlatformFeature will not set in SMBIOS Do I need to manually set the BioVersion to something newer to get past the firmware update required? Or is there something else I can do? Using macpro6,1 isn't an option for me as it doesn't work at all for me. Estoy usando boot boot heredado 4674.
Hi kjp4756, Did you manage to solve the problem? I have the same situation, SMBIOS ProductName is MacPro5,1. Clover build 4700. UPDATE: Managed to install with iMac14,1 and deleting BIOS and Firmware information suggested above.
