i know vista wont come out for a lil while longer and i was doing some research on Vista and form i found the only difference between 32 and 64 bit is that 64 bit can allow more memory(up to 128 GB) and it has better security features. but the cons about 64 is that there are limited drivers out there for it. are there anymore advantages to 64-bit other than i mentioned such as a faster computer compared to a 32 bit processor. i have the new macbook pro intel core 2 duo which supports 64 bit and was wondering for when vista comes out i already know. thanks for the advice.

Bear in mind that there's a 64-bit version of XP out there, with (most likely) a larger amount of drivers available, and more compatability with apps.

But then, I speak as someone who will NEVER install Vista on any machine I own. (Unless nobody can figure out how to run Halo 2 on XP... :()

The Boot Camp driver set does not support x64 versions of Windows (XP or Vista). As such, drivers will not be available for most devices. Here's a short list...

Wireless/AirPort

Wireless/Bluetooth

Audio Out & Audio In

Apple Keyboard (Disc Eject, Fn Key)

Brightness Control

Startup Disk Control Panel

There are not suitable replacements for most of these... so you will be doing without.

Apple will correct this in the future with an upcoming Boot Camp update. But for now, only 32-bit versions should be used with Boot Camp.
