indiekiduk
Hi I was hoping someone could help me debug this problem with no boot drives appearing in Clover. My install was working fine until one day I rebooted and no drives appeared. Using my old USB worked fine. I can workaround the issue by replacing ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi with the real apfs.efi which makes me think that the loader is not finding it automatically on my disk at /usr/standalone/i386/apfs.efi like it is supposed to. How can I debug to find out why it is not finding it? Am I right in saying there is no boot log if it didn't boot? Macintosh HD EFI Partition (on disk6 below) that shows no drives at boot running r4658: AppleImageCodec-64.efi FSInject-64.efi AppleKeyAggregator-64.efi FirmwareVolume-64.efi AppleUITheme-64.efi SMCHelper-64.efi AptioInputFix-64.efi VBoxHfs-64.efi AptioMemoryFix-64.efi ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi DataHubDxe-64.efi Replacing ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi with /usr/standalone/i386/apfs.efi does make it work and drives are displayed. I'm not using FileVault and deleting AppleKeyAggregator-64.efi had no effect. Matgen84
Hi I hope that OTHERS will be able to help you, in the meantime, type bdmesg in terminal to see if apfsdriverloader is sucess loading what clover theme ? Post screenshot is better to understand your problem with apfsdriverloader. add vol_internal_apfs.icns by copy/rename vol_internal.icns via desktop Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/335505-no-boot-drives-displayed-with-apfsdriverloader-64efi-r4658/#findComment-2634601 Share on other sites

savvas
Soooo... No logs = no problem. Fixed! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/335505-no-boot-drives-displayed-with-apfsdriverloader-64efi-r4658/#findComment-2635199 Share on other sites
kalsdfjaksfiejk
Have any more details on where to get the debug version? I'm seeing the same thing -- using r4658 with the same driver, can't see any boot options at all, even for HFS. If you wouldn't mind telling me I'll try to get the first wiki page to be on that. indiekiduk
A user on the other forum told me I needed PartitionDxe-64.efi which fixed the problem of drives not appearing. Perhaps the driver detail text box in clover could be updated to state it's a requirement for standard installs, right now it says the opposite.
