Step 2) Download “JaS.10.4.8.SSE3.Intel.Only.Combo.Update.pkg.zip” http://www.demonoid.com is your friend Step 3) Extract JaS.10.4.8.SSE3.Intel.Only.Combo.Update.pkg.zip, load Package. Step 4) Install and reboot. Step 5) Use boot options –v –f –s –x Step 6) Type the following: fsck –fy mount –uw / cd /System/Library mv Exrensions/r2d2.kext Extensions/ rm –rf Extensions.mkext Extensions.kextcache cd Extensions chown –R root:wheel r2d2.kext chown –R root:wheel AudioIPCDriver.kext chown –R root:wheel AppleMLANAudio.kext chown –R root:wheel AppleHDA.kext reboot Step 7) Use boot option –x Step 8) (Only needed for Intel GMA graphics cards!) Install 10.4.7.GMA.Support.pkg. Step 9) Click Go, Utilities, Start Disk Utility, click Repair Disk Permissions, wait until it finishes – Then reboot. Step 10) Start Mac without any boot options. Would I use the method you just described below? Also what do you mean when you say Step 5) Use boot options –v –f –s –x? How do I get to boot options and where would I type in -v -f -s -x?
