How's it going everyone? I made posts on r/hackintosh as well as the tonymac forums to no avail. Since I already have everything type out from those posts I'm just going to copy and paste and attach the relevant files. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

"Hello everyone, I recently got a High Sierra up and running (first time setting up a hackintosh). It's essentially running perfectly except for the fact that shut down does not work. When I go to shut down the system ends up rebooting instead. There is also the issue of the system rebooting when I leave it untouched for too long. I have attached an image of the verbose output when shutting down. I have also, hopefully, attached the necessary/needed files. My profile also has all the relevant hardware information (hopefully I did this part right).

I believe I have the correct bios settings. They are as follows:
XHCI Mode: Auto
XHCI hand-off: enabled
EHCI hand-off: disabled (have also tried enabled)
Wake On Lan: disabled
Vt-d: disabled
Serial IO: disabled
Boot mode: UEFI Only
OS Type: Other OS

On Mac my system preference for Energy Saver are set to:
Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when display is off: unchecked
Put hard disks to sleep when possible: checked
Wake for network access: unchecked
Enable Power Nap: checked

I greatly appreciate any help offered, thank you.

P.S I want to go ahead and apologize ahead of time for an ignorant decisions or choices I may have made in regards to my setup, as well as any potential frustration it may cause. And again thank you."

press barspace and use nvdisabler=1

put ur bios in defaul, disable only IntelHdGraphics

I don’t see nvdisabler I see nv_disable. Is that it? Should I disable nvda_drv?

Edit: I have reset bios to default and disabled intel had graphics. nv_disable=1 is also set but the problem persists

ye, is disable

ok

i put new driver AptioMemoryFix.efi

boot from USB, remove AptioMemoryFix.efi and use default driver from Clover, OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi

Ok, just to be certain I follow proper instructions. I should install clover onto a USB and use OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi then remove AptioMemoryFix.efi when I get in?

boot from usb stick, go to ur clover folder in HDD/SSD, remove AptioMemoryFix.efi and put OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi

I am able to boot in but even after swapping out the files I still cannot boot without usb.

When I installed clover I chose EmuVariableUefi-64, PartitionDxe-64, and OsxAptioFix2Drv-64. I also do not have a SSD so I did not include apfs.efi in my install. I am not sure if this information is relevant or helpful but I figured I would let you know.

I included a link to an image of my two drivers64uefi folders the one on the left is on my HDD the one on the right is from my USB.

Clover/Acpi/Patched, use only DSDT, u can remove SSDT.aml

i put all in correct local in folder above, just replace

I replaced the files. However this did not fix the issue. When I shut down this is the output I get from -v before the system reboots

When the system boots again I get a pop up window telling me I shut down the system because there was a problem.

click in Open and ignore

check

remove AppleIntelE1000e, use IntelMausiEthernet.kext

remove ALXEthernet, try with AtherosE2200Ethernet.kext

Ok, I have tried both my EFI/Clover folder with the kext replacements as well as the DSDT patch and your EFI/Clover folder with my config.plist only (what I am currently using). I had no success with either. I then followed your previous posts instructions however I was already using your EFI/Clover folder with your provided kexts so I didn't remove or add anything since everything was already in place. I just reinstalled/updated clover (already up to date) and then I ran kext utility once and rebooted. I booted in fine but still encountered the pop ups which I ignored like last time and tested shut down. Unfortunately, I was met with the same output and reboot as the above image I linked. When the system rebooted I tried to shutdown from login screen and that rebooted as well. When I put it the screen goes black but my pc stays on. If I move the mouse or hit enter on my keyboard it turns on to the login screen. Could there be something wrong with my config.plist?

How did you create the installer?

I followed this guide to install Sierra:

http://www.rampagedev.com/install-mac-os-x/

after I got it to install I then used the follow up guide for post-installation:

http://www.rampagedev.com/downloads/haswell-dmg/

while following the post installation guide I chose the standard non-nvidia plist due to being unable to upgrade to High Sierra from the App Store. After a few installs and reinstalls of Sierra I was finally able to install High Sierra by updating Clover and kexts and making sure that I did not have any Nvidia related things installed.

After I booted into high Sierra I followed this guide to install Nvidia web drivers:

https://hackintosher.com/guides/properly-install-nvidia-drivers-high-sierra-10-13/

Everything was pretty much functional so then I used this guide for iMessage:

last thing I needed to do was get wifi/bluetooth working so I bought this an AzureWave Broadcom BCM94352HMB from amazon and followed this guide to get it working:

https://github.com/the-darkvoid/BrcmPatchRAM

I figured this shutdown problem was minor so I left it till the end. I guess I was a bit wrong.

Also thank you for helping me I really do appreciate it.

the process is simple

Install system, install clover, replace with my folder, install web driver(dont need remove nothing), reboot

have a something wrong, not a normal ;)

Yeah after many reinstalls and google searches I realized that all I really need to do is

install OS onto USB > Install Clover onto USB > Download kexts and add to appropriate folder > configure SMBIOS (still unsure if this is 100% necessary) and config.plist > add additional kexts to S/L/E or L/E and thats it.

I would really rather not have to redo do this as I already have All my usual programs installed and ready to go but it seems that I may have to.

btw

u can use all kexts in Clover/kexts/Other

Just use InjectKexts option in config.plist

attachicon.gifMaLd0n 2018-01-14 às 23.52.58.png

ur system stay Clean

Awesome, thank you. Can I use that when I do my fresh install or is that only used later when adding additional kexts. Also do I need an SSDT or DSDT patch? is that required? I'm about to do a fresh install but that's the only thing I'm unsure about as I've seen people say you need a DSDT patch to have your system running properly and and same for SSDT.

I currently have clover with kexts and default config.plist. I was planning on doing a completely vanilla install then editing the config after I install clover onto the HDD.

some patches is mandatory for a good work, some ppl use SSDTs, other patches in Clover, i prefer DSDT,  essentials, cosmetics patches, etc
