threap
Well, I have to add my voice to the chorus thanking Taruga... I've just successfully used version 1.16 of the patcher to get an Intel D945GTP motherboard's onboard Sigmatel 9221 to work under 10.4.10. A couple of notes: -I used the uphuck 1.3 DVD to install 10.4.9. Do NOT use the "Azalia Audio" patch from this disk on this motherboard - it appears to work after installation, but no sound whatsoever is output from any of the jacks, even though OSX seems convinced that it has a working audio solution in place . Running the 1.16 patch if this Azalia patch is installed, results in a kernel panic on next boot. -I installed the OSX86 10.4.10 update afterwards - audio continued to work. -There are two skus (configurations) of this particular motherboard - one with Sigmatel 9223 audio, and one with 9221. The former has 7.1 connectors on the rear I/O panel; the latter, 5.1. I've attached my codec dump for reference. This board runs OSX very nicely - all subsystems (LAN, gfx, audio) are now working, with full acceleration where necessary. Yay! :-) So once again - thanks Taruga, you're an OSX86 star! sigmatel9220dump.txt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/32859-applehda-solution-work-in-progress/page/78/#findComment-406392 Share on other sites

ZeroColl
ioreg -lw0 > /mydump.txt Is this the way to get the codec#0 dump with a linux liveCD? The dump that I need for the patcher.. cos I have a SoundMAX 1986, but the 1986 dump on your page doesn't work.. I had audio on the internal speekers with the Azaila drivers, but then I aplyed the pach and had no control over the volume, and the sound was gone.. Havner
Hello, Got a short question, any hint on getting line in/out on front pannel to work? Made linux codec dump, both pins are mentioned in it ([Jack] Mic at Ext Front and [Jack] HP Out at Ext Front), but no sound comes through HP in front (its separate connection on mobo, it works under linux). Besides that everything is working. mobo: GA-M59SLI-S5 (ALC888) os: 10.4.8 JaS + semthex nd 2_3 alc888.txt EDIT: managed to get them to work by editing Info.plist from AppleHDA, if anyone have same mobo and need it pm me. KAIRES
Does anyone have a solution for the Realtek ACL850??? SteveNZ
Anyone had any luck getting 10.4.10 to either stop saying there's a sound patch available, or get the ALC888 patch to co-exist with it? The kext version of AppleHDA hasn't changed, so presumably it's checking at least one of the files within. It's only a cosmetic issue, and I'll have a play later on to see what I need to alter to shut it up...
