Asus maximus IV Gene-Z Hackintosh

So there was a way to do that without the BIOS hack :-) Thank you, will try this when I update to 0902 (or whatever number the latest version had).

So did all of you flashed the linked bios? I'd rather avoid that if that is absolutely not necessary. I'm not sure what revision, version etc is it. Can anybody clarify? Without it though whatever DSDT I use I get kernel panic at start with CPU Power Management. Is that because of it? I tried generated DSDT files by me. All linked here and in other threads I found. Using them with #####/##### installation + 10.7.2. I know there is NullCPUPM but I'd rather have the features. Would be grateful for any insights. EDIT: forget it, flashed and it's working fine.
3. Got Tubgirls 10.4.10 installed with NVIDIA 7950GT 512MB. Everything is working fine (CI/QE, hardware accelerated OpenGL). Just cant get shaders to work, even simplest of them. Seems like driver is refusing them completely. For simple testcase: http://www.3ddrome.com/articles/cgshaders.php $ ./main set_function_pointers(): glGenProgramsARB failed (you'll have to make some symlinks for GLUT framework or use fink glut (and run in X11) to compile it) Anyone got them working?

iDVD and iMovie 08 crash on hackintosh

Seems its the case. Two reports above about Intel working. Mine at least is. Haven't tried making something more complicated but was able to change instruments in the simple mode.

iDVD and iMovie 08 crash on hackintosh

What do you mean by original ATA? Generic ATA driver? i'm using NForceATA (the one published on berlios) with added pciid for my IDE controller by hand (for PATA part). Didn't try generic cause its too slow. Even if it would work this way (which i doubt, but will give it a shot) this isn't a solution. I would like to know it as well...

iDVD and iMovie 08 crash on hackintosh

Yes, there is. I do. My machine spec: Athlon 64 X2 5200. GF 7950GT 512mb (with bios hack) GA-M59SLI-S5 1GB RAM HDD on PATA (NForceATA) DVD on SATA (JMicron - AHCI)
7. It always crashes for me with: Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000004 I'm using tubgirl's 10.4.10. Tried downgrading kernel (System.kext + mach_kernel) to actually compiled one instead of 10.4.10 binary hacked (various versions form 10.4.9 and 10.4.8). Always the same. The rest of iLife 08 (and iWork 08) works fine. Anyone got more luck or could point me to where to look for solution?

AppleHDA Solution - Work in progress

Hello, Got a short question, any hint on getting line in/out on front pannel to work? Made linux codec dump, both pins are mentioned in it ([Jack] Mic at Ext Front and [Jack] HP Out at Ext Front), but no sound comes through HP in front (its separate connection on mobo, it works under linux). Besides that everything is working. mobo: GA-M59SLI-S5 (ALC888) os: 10.4.8 JaS + semthex nd 2_3 alc888.txt EDIT: managed to get them to work by editing Info.plist from AppleHDA, if anyone have same mobo and need it pm me.
