Mach-Kernel Invisible

I am trying to update my kernel but it gives me an error that the mach-kernel it is invisible and I cannot replace it... I try using MacDrive on windows and TransMac and it didnt work, I have One Hardrive partion in 2 but I cant see OSX86 under windows... Any ideas?

In terminal type:

 

$ uname -a

 

Hit enter and you should see something like this:

 

Darwin username 8.8.1 Darwin Kernel Version 8.8.1: Sat Oct 28 02:54:20 CDT 2006; root:xnu-792.13.8/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386 i386 i386

 

As you can see, the version of the new kernel is 8.8.1. Previous is 8.4.1 I think.

If I have the New Kernel (mach_kernel), how to update it with the old one in my system?

finder - go -go to folder enter "/volumes/your osx disk volumes" del the old mach_kernel ,copy the new mach_kernel into here.

 

ps.how to set the new mach_kernel invisible not use the .hidden file?
