Yo, I've been wondering about the launch of Leopard. I've been new to Apple enough that I don't know much about their OS releases. When they release a new OS, is it like the release of a new video game console?

What I'm asking is do I have to wait in line for 9 hours to get the OS or is it just a walk-in-and-pickup deal? I want to know cause I want to get leopard when it's first released...legally...:pirate2:

If anyone has any past experiences with Mac OS launches, PLEASE share.

(P.S.: This is off-topic but is there a way to disable holding the shift key down to make things slow down on Mac OS X? I've taught it to a few friends of mine in school and now they use it against me on a regular basis and it gets annoying >_<. If you don't know what I mean, try holding down SHIFT and pressing "F11" a hundred times, you'll see what I mean.)

When I went to the my Apple store, when they released Tiger, there were about thirty people waiting to get it.

EDIT: Disable Exposé to make them stop. They do that at my school too...

EDIT 2: When you are changing Exposé activation key with the drop down menu, hold down shift and change it to Shift-F11

Thanks for the help! I might need to wait a while outside the Apple store to get a copy of Leopard.

As always, the rumor mill is churning, and some people are speculating that Steve Jobs will drop a Leopard launch bombshell at Macworld in January and officially release it at that time. By doing that, they would beat their previous launch estimate, shock the public, and steal some of Vista’s thunder in January 2007
