Panja
Hi all, I have a problem with the JaS 10.4.8 install DVD. I have the second release, the correct one. Installed it without problems and it works (few things like sound does not, but I'll fix that hopefully) but the main problem is that when I reboot the computer and the install DVD is removed I get an error: HFS+ Partition Error It does not matter which Kernel I install, on both new (8.8.1) kernels I have the same problem. So I have to boot with the install DVD in the drive otherwise my OS won't load. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thanks in advance.

nylock10
Boot off the DVD, then quit it and select Mac OS X 10.4.8 to boot off of. Maybe that will work. I'll Google around for you. crewdawg257
Its not a Dell by any chance is it. The Dell MBR doesn't play well if you have Dell MediaDirect, System restore, and a Utility Partition and then try to add a OSX one. I had to wipe the whole drive and the start fresh to make it work.
