Rammjet
AppleAzaliaAudio.kext should be in the /System/Library/Extensions folder. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=18642 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/32622-azalia-patch/#findComment-229386 Share on other sites

Rammjet
I have no azalia kext in there! i dont know why! Read your next statement for why: when i tried to install anything on the jas 10.4.8 disk besides the sse3, it would crash. You needed to select the AppleAzaliaAudio.kext as an option during the installation. If it wasn't listed as an option in Customize, then you have the old corrupt 10.4.8 DVD iso and shouldn't be using that one. Be sure you downloaded the JaS 10.4.8 Intel SSE3 Only Reseed iso. Soündless
It was an option, but every time i selected it, it would say there was a problem and i needed to restart Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/32622-azalia-patch/#findComment-229706 Share on other sites
pet1
Extract the kext from the package on the 10.4.8 install dvd. Then copy it over to your extensions folder. Repair permissions. That worked for me. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/32622-azalia-patch/#findComment-230055 Share on other sites
Tommy
It was an option, but every time i selected it, it would say there was a problem and i needed to restart i assume you have 10.4.8 installed if not re-install your 10.4.8 with only option that won't crash. boot your 10.4.8 and insert JaS 10.4.8 DVD (the new one) and browse the DVD to System/Installation/Packages/ and install 10.4.8.azalia.audio.pkg (double click on it). repair permission with disk utility after installation and reboot. it should work after that.
