Mash the F8 key when your computer boots until you see the infamous Darwin Prompt. Type in

-v

to see where it hangs. Post a pic or write down the error here :D

  • 2 weeks later...

I have had no joy getting Jas 10.4.8 install DVD to see my Sata drive (either a Western Digital or Seagate). I get to disk utilities and go to set the formatting preferences, etc, but neither drive, tried seperately, is visible. Oddly, a Linux SUSE install DVD, from some six months ago, doesn't see the drive either, and nor does a bootable Linux-based partition CD, which prompts me to pick the right driver from a list, but none of the listed ones make it visible. .

No such problems with Windows.

Suggestions welcome! :construction:

The motherboard is the Asus P5VD2-MX and I am using the latest bios revision.
