jnolla
High all, I'm stuck on Plus sign on Asus Rampage V Extreme with Broadwell CPU. This same configuration is working with Sierra. I'm using Clover 4097. Ive tried: OsxLowMemFixDrv-64.efi OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi HFSPlus.efi I tried firmware features: 0xe907f537 I tried: sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra\ Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/USB --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra\ Beta.app --nointeraction And then installing clover. I tried to manually install Core.pkg and coping boot.efi from BaseSystem.pkg I have not tried pre-linked kernel given is newer version of Clover. Attached is the my Clover folder. jnolla
Tried pre-linked kernel and had no success. Tried removing NullCPUPowerManagement.kext no success. Tried adding DMAR to ACPI drop tables no success. Removed all NMVE entries from clover. Tried installing Sierra in a new partition and upgrading no success. Maybe I need to change CPUID entry for 6900k? Not sure new values would be needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. jnolla
try with Efi you can find in this thread (not AMD 580 related but you can solve +++++ problem and boot) http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/316516-macos-sierra-on-broadwell-eep-not-a-guide-but-maybe-a-working-in-progress/page-1 I see different problem in your kext clover dir..you do not need of nullcpuPM Thank you for the link. I've used this solution to get things going on Sierra, but they are not working on High Sierra. As per my post above: Tried removing NullCPUPowerManagement.kext no success. jnolla
give me a minute I will upload my efi you have only to add BT kext and if you use AMD graphics related lines in clover Going to give it a try. Will post results shortly.
jnolla
For Nvme now in High Sierra no patches needed (only external orange icon fix is there) I am using clover 4081 because with newer I have had some instability fabiosum - It worked! I'm up and running with no modifications other than serial numbers to your EFI. Now I need to try to get Vega Frontier Edition working!
jnolla
Seems like High Sierra Beta 3 is fully working for RX580 and Vega, without any patches and no IGPU!!! OK so during installation you can definitely tell the RX580 is fully supported. After installation is completed it goes black. This is no patches or helper gpu. surfinchina
give me a minute I will upload my efi you have only to add BT kext and if you use AMD graphics related lines in clover Fabiosun you're a hero! I put your clover into EFI and was able to boot High Sierra on my X299 i9 without any alteration! Really happy now. 2 small things you might be able to help me with. For some reason my apfs drive is not recognised in the clover boot, and I can only get HS booted on a new install. I did an install and then migrated my data over, but it doesn't boot after that. Anyway, very happy because my vega is arriving today
surfinchina
Thank you My 960 Samsung pro 1 tb (nvme) is seen by default from the first release of High Sierra I have not installed HS on it but in a spare Samsung 850 pro disk Migrating problem is strange..I have problem with some clover release sometimes but never when I migrated data from os various version I hope your Vega will be good as all we hope! :-) I fixed those problems I deleted all of the kexts in S/L/E on an existing Sierra then did an upgrade over it. Something weird with the migration we'll never figure out now... The apfs was just me forgetting to put the apfs driver in the drivers folder. I really hope the vega drivers get better! So far it's half as fast as my Nano in Cinebench. Main issue is the CPU at full speed but I choked that off in bios for now. Thanks again for the efi. Saved me days of frustration.
