cobl62
Hi all I found only one entry here in the forum and I wonder if there are other solutions. I would like to buy a monitor which has 8bit +FRC color depth. I got a Gigabyte GTX 760 and Mavericks via Clover installed. I found out only since El Capitan 10bit color depth will be supported. So I will try to install El Capitan on a separate hdd. (see one of my current questions in the forum "dual boot") My question is, will I be able to use the 10bit mode of my graphic card with these circumstances? Do I need any other drivers then the natives - like nvidia web drivers? Or should I better get another card? Will I need to adjust my dsdt file? Or maybe somebody got experience using 10bit with Mavericks? Thanks a lot for your help. Cyberdevs
Hi, You can use SwitchResX or ResXtreme to change the color depth on your display. cobl62
But I will need at least El Capitan? Are there no limitations on the graphic card? Yes, I think that 10Bit color depth was introduced with El Capitan. But you can give those apps a try to make sure.
