Tried, not respond, will wait.

Thanks anyway.

Did you get the HD5870 started?
I have the same card as you, but I have not installed mac os 10.13, I'm using 10.12.6 beta and it works fine.

You have the aesthetic bug that shows that the card is ATI HD 5000 and not 5870?

Not solved.

The aesthetic bug it's not just aesthetic affects performance, go to 3 or 4 post I make a pic with settings in clover that fix "aesthetic" problem.

In 10.12.6 beta works, 10.13 not working.

How did you create the usb to do the tests?

I have the dmg of mac os 10.13 but I have created two usb installers, they boot, start the installer, format the hard disk and when it starts copying the files and the load bar is normal, it shows several minutes to 355 seconds and it reboots.

So I think I'm doing a bad installer, if I can install I could do tests, since we are two that have the same graph.

After this reboot you need to continue installation from the partition you installed in, boot in it from clover.

You need to read all thread of high sierra pre release to install, it's more complicated than other versions of macos.

How did you make the Installer? BaseSystem.dmg method will not work and will most likely give you the "OSInstall.mpkg appears to be missing or damaged" error

You need to use the createinstallmedia method OR you can install it directly on your harddrive through the Installer app itself, but that also needs some tuning in order to get it booting

I already got the installation Mac OS 10.13 and I don't have problem with my hd 5870 (Asus HD5870-v2 1024MB)

Still show ATI Radeon HD 5000 1Gb.

I have exactly same video card and can't get it to work, can you give config.plist or maybe efi folder?

Edit: Also can you look in clover boot menu/settings/graphics and see what framebuffer is using? For me is Uakari.

This is my EFI folder, I don't use framebuffer in config.plist check it out.

I use Clover 4084 but is very buggy, I try many boots for boot up Mac OS high Sierra sometimes shows disable icon.

I have audio with applealc using arg -alcbeta. Everything works fine except APFS.

Yes you don't use but one framebuffer is selected by bootloader and I think for me is detected incorrectly.

Can you look when you restart? :D

Uakari is the default framebuffer for 5870. If you do not select any, it will pick that one per default.

I tried to patch that framebuffer to match with your Graphics, but that did not work out quite well

I'd restore the original 5000Controller kext, remove the FB config, VBIOS and EDID inject etc from your clover config and start from there

I did that earlier today.

Here is my dsdt, maybe it's something wrong with it, don't have ssdt.

Edit: Added config.plist

I watching your dsdt and don't have nothing entry for video card, they show as GFX0 sometimes.

u have more patches in ur config.plist, if u have a dsdt patched, u don't need patches in clover.

My dsdt is fully patched for my board, my ati radeon only use a patch for HDMI audio from SSDT no more.

I do not know if I'm completely right. But it worked for me.

Tried to disable all from config.plist earlier and didn't boot anymore, I don't know who fix makes it boot.

Hi LuCyr04. I got native resolution on my HD 5670. Still no acceleration by the gpu, but it gets a bit better for use, for now. I just switched the HS kexts from the Sierra 10.12.5 AMD5000Controller.kext, AMDRadeonX3000.kext, AMDRadeonX3000GLDriver.bundle, AMDLegacyFramebuffer.kext and AMDLegacySupport.kext.
