kavlos
Hi everyone, pleasure to be on this forum. I found a great bargain for an HP Omen 870, which runs in the following specs: 1. i7-7700 3.6 2. Intel H170 chipset 3. SSD (No specs given) 4. HDD (No specs given) 5. GTX 1070 6. No specs given for LAN and Wifi modules They are giving a great discount on this and I was thinking of turning it into my first Hackintosh. I am quite good in computers and I know it will not be a plug and play thing, but I am willing to take the challenge. What I would like to ask is whether (with the limited above mentioned specs that I mentioned), this computer would be able to run successfully OSX. I will mainly use it btw for Adobe Premiere 4K video editing. Thanks alot. P.S. The product URL (in german) is http://www8.hp.com/ch/de/products/desktops/product-detail.html?oid=15820925#!tab=specs The model is: 870-254nz 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/324036-building-my-first-hackintosh-compatibility-for-a-prebuilt-hp-omen-desktop/ Share on other sites

Apart from that should I expect the build to work? Gigamaxx
Someone? It should work, find out what Ethernet and wifi you have. Maybe remove the 1070 and get the internal igpu graphics going first. Add web drivers and then use 1070. nv_disable=1 might work to get started with the 1070 still connected.
