Abercrombi3 Posted November 4, 2006 Share Posted November 4, 2006 hey people currently dual booting my 10.4.6 with xp (using acronis boot loader) and i want to know, how can i get rid of the bootloader (uninstalling windows) and make it boot straight off OSX? thanks heeps! cbmkgd Posted November 4, 2006 Share Posted November 4, 2006 When you're in the acronis loader's menu, chose to disable os selector; it will then ask you which os to boot after the reboot: chose osx. BUT FIRST: make the acronis bootable cd in case you want to re-enable acronis loader just in case of a problem at reboot (use cd-rw). Once you reboot, that should make the darwin bootloader appear. Once that works and you're satisfied with booting directly to osx, you can get rid of windows.
