FALLOFMAN
So I have sierra running on one hard drive and windows on another. This is what I plan to do but havent quite figured out how to do it or if its possible yet. When I launch windows, I want to use windows on my tv through hdmi connected to my gtx 1060 (so far thats working fine) When I launch sierra, I want to use the intel hd4000 through dvi (this is where im running into problems) It seems that as long as there is an nvidia card installed, sierra defaults to that card, even if I have intel injected and nvidia not injected. (no signal when dvi is plugged into motherboard, only signal from nvidia card) Is there a way to completey bypass the nvidia card when im in sierra so I can use the intel hd 4000? mynameismatthew
I think your best bet is unplug the hdmi from your card, plug DVI to motherboard, inject Intel, boot nv_disable=1 and check if you have a BIOS option for your processors IGPU. The other thing would be to check if DVI is the problem. Can you alternate between the two in Windows? 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/319644-windowssierra-with-two-different-displays/#findComment-2340219 Share on other sites
FALLOFMAN
the dvi on my motherboard works, I used it when I didnt have an nvidia card, I tried everything you said but it still only reads the nvidia card Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/319644-windowssierra-with-two-different-displays/#findComment-2342114 Share on other sites
mynameismatthew
Try disabling the card in bios by changing the primary video Adapter setting assuming you have it and see whether the integrated graphics work at all for you on Sierra in the first place Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/319644-windowssierra-with-two-different-displays/#findComment-2342115 Share on other sites
