condottierezq
I am very new to the hackintosh family, and I just built my first hackintosh machine this month. After a lot hours of online research and trial, I was able to install macOS Sierra on my new build using Clover. I was able to get almost everything working initially except H530 sleep/awake. I was very excited to use this new powerful mac. But as I kept using it, I ran into serious problem that the new system won't boot after certain things. No matter what I did, I just cannot boot up the system even with my clover usb stick. For the most of time, I got stuck at "panic CPU caller". I had to completely wipe the drive and reinstall the system again every time. It seems that this happens randomly, but after some trials I found that at least 3 things can lead to this no-boot situation. 1. I use SuperDuper to clone the drive to a backup drive. 2. I install Clover to the boot drive, and use kext utility to process the kext files. 3. I force the machine to restart, meaning push the power button to restart. There are maybe more things that can make this happen, but the above 3 will definitely make my machine unbootable. I am out of ideas. I really appreciate if anyone here can help me on this issue. I attached my config.plist and 3 unbootable screenshots on different occasions. SavageAUS
Posting clover folder might help diagnose issue. Config.plist looks ok except you have nvidiaweb in system parameters and no nvidia card? Also are you using the XOSI ssdt? If not disable the XOSI in config.plist. Are you using a dsdt? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk I am pretty new to this, so I just used a config.plist I found in the forum with similar hardware as my template. I guess I didn't take out all the unnecessary parameters. I am not using XOSI ssdt, no dsdt was used either. I will post my clover folder later today when I got off work. Thank you very much. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/319143-need-help-newly-installed-sierra-wont-boot/#findComment-2333127 Share on other sites

SavageAUS
I cant see anything that would stop you booting. I have an intel 540 m.2 in my system and i dont need IONVMeFamily.kext or any patches. Are you sure you need it? I have an intel 540 m.2 in my system and i dont need IONVMeFamily.kext or any patches. Are you sure you need it? Intel 540 is SATA drive, Intel 600p is NVMe drive. According to what I read in the forum, I need IONVMeFamily.kext in order to let Sierra see the drive. The machine is in a kernel panic reboot loop as I showed in the screenshots. Goes to "PCI configuration", then "panic CPU caller", then reboot again.
