I have a new Intel iMac and I have some Dell PCs. I HATE Windows XP, and all my software is now all-Mac stuff... So I'm currently downloading Mac OS X 10.4.8 JaS.

Does this come with Garageband? I could use my iMac restore CD to install that stuff.

Will Boot Camp work on my Dell PC?

Don't download the current 10.4.8 install DVD (Intel SSE3 only). It has some problems and a new 10.4.8 install DVD (Intel SSE3 only) is currently undergoing testing and will be published in the near future.

In the meantime, maybe you go for the 10.4.6 or 10.4.7 (repack) install DVD and one of the 10.4.8 Combo updates.

No special apps are included with the 10.4.8 install DVD. 10.4.8 with the new kernel is still being explored. Support for Intel SSE2 as well as AMD SSE2 and SSE3 have yet to be developed. Patches for the 10.4.8 DVD will be published when they are.

Boot Camp only works on a real Intel Mac which uses EFI for booting. A PC with BIOS does not support Boot Camp.

lol I'm a Mac noob. sorry rofl

Ok, Ill download JaS 10.4.6, I used it in VMWare when it was released.

But this sucks, my DL speed for 10.4.8 was over 200KB/s !!! Wahhh... Guess I pay the price for piracy.
