MacNB Posted October 1, 2016 Share Posted October 1, 2016 So I upgraded my old rig Dell Inspiron 530 from Mavericks to Sierra. Sound chip is ALC 888. I had to redo the HDA dummy kext to get sound working again (based on PikerAlpha script). I had a patch in the Clover config to stop sound assertions every minute (from here) spamming the log file. However, that patch does not work on Sierra as the log is spammed every minute and now there are pops of sound every assertion. Anyone have any updates to that patch for Sierra ?
