  1. Hi guys, since the creative CA0132 chip, mounted on some motherboards, is now compatible with mac using apple alc, i am asking why it should not working with the same chip on a sound blaster z series card, so i want to ask to the developer of the most used sound driver here to add support for this chip on a sound blaster z series card, i'd like to use that card with my hackintosh, up to now the only thing that can be got to work is the input on the rear with voodoo hda, so i invite you to do that because it is possible, you have already done it with the new 200 series motherboards. Note that i an not an owner of one of that cards, but i will get one of them if the support will be added in the driver (i prefer that this support will be added to apple alc since i am using it in my machine)
  2. It is with great happiness that I and Micky1979 came bring this news, the new AppleHDA Patcher is out. One of the new features is that you no longer have your patched files separately, all codecs for laptop´s and Desktop's are now implemented in the application itself, you can find out more in the download section Enjoy! Control Volume with Keyboard?

Hi I made this topic to get help on controlling volume with the internal keyboard. The slider at top right on menu bar works and audio works with patched AppleHDA. But seems like somethings missing.. I think I need to assign the keys to volume up/volume down. The closest I can get is by enabling accessibility settings to enable on-screen control - still not able to adjust with keyboard. These controls appear: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bis3qa2ro1goyfd/Skjermbilde%202014-07-15%20kl.%2001.11.08.png?m= The kext Im using for keyboard is Rehabman's VoodooPS2Controller.kext

  11. I successfully installed yosemite on my laptop two days ago. Everything worked fine except audio- Which I have been struggling with. I just found out my codec was Realtek ALC282, so i downloaded the patched AppleHDA Kext for ALC282 and HDAEnabler3. I installed them and rebooted my laptop, finding that audio STILL didn't work. I don't know what to do next. My Laptop ---------------- Lenovo Ideapad Z510 Core i7 4702MQ Chipset HM87 Graphics Intel HD4600, NVIDIA 720M -------------------------- Clover Bootloader

  13. Hi. First time builder/hackintosher here. Please be nice. This thread is a continuation of my other one: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/291208-haswell-success-ga-z87m-d3h-gtx-670/ where I successfully installed OS X 10.8.4 onto my machine. In this post I will discuss features that (don't) work. 1. Power management: I think so, as I can boot without patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext or NullCPUPowerManagement.kext. Does this screenshot of Activity Monitor clarify anything? http://i.imgur.com/GsTWhdX.png What does it mean? EDIT: Turns out that I'm lacking a whole load of processor states. It makes a huge jump from 800MHz to 3.17GHz. To be continued. 2. Audio: Working in 10.8.5 with patched AppleHDA as of https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALC892 https://github.com/toleda/audio_kext_enabler (also attached). 3. Graphics: QE/CI works out of the box with EVGA GeForce GTX 670. 4. Ethernet: Realtek's official driver for OS X Lion 10.7 works: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3 5. USB 3: Works (but I have only tested with USB 2 devices). AppleHDAEnabler1.zip PS2 Drivers.zip

    ALC887 recognized but no audio

Hi, I can’t get my audio working. Device is recognized and shown, but no audio is coming out on any port. In Audio MIDI Setup I see all my outputs and inputs have no Master volume control running OS X Mavericks 10.9.4 (13E28) MBO: ASUS P5QL-AM (latest BIOS 0416) CPU: Pentium Dual Core E5300 GPU: nVidia 8500 GT 512MB ALC887 (pci8086,27d8@1B) I’ve edited DSDT to match IORegExplorer as you will see. Tried with layout-id’s 1,2 & 3 used audio_realtekALC-90_v2.0 command to patch AppleHDA.kext, tried also with Piker method but no change I’ve noticed that my DSDT extract had no HDEF device so I added it manually Any help/suggestion is appreciated, this board is driving me crazy THX!!! report.zip

    VoodooHDA vs AppleHDA

Hi everyone, I have audio & AppleHDA working on my hackintosh (Toleda's Clover script & CodecCommander), so "no audio" is not the issue here. I've searched around but couldn't find any threads about this. I'm mostly concerned about how VoodoHDA and an AppleHDA patch compare with respect to usability, stability, and most importantly, sound quality. Cheers!
  17. Hello friends! I have installed kext AppleHDA.kext patched from Patcher 1.1(thanks for patcher ), and also patched config.plist, by this method I got sound working, but microphone still doesn't working . Please help me to get microphone working. Thank you! OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 Asus K52F Intel Core i5 M480 Intel HD Graphics Conexant CX20585 ---------------- How to fix? ok, now the only problem was in platforms.xml.zlib (applehda.kext>resurces>platforms.xml.zlib) 1.open applehda.kext>resurces 2.convert file platforms.xml.zlib to platforms.xml (convert with special program Zlib xml convertor) 3.open this xml file with plist edit program 4.open root>CommonPeripheralDSP 5.delete 12,13,14....22 lines (1>11 = speaker lines, 12>22 microphone lines) 6.save file 7.convert file platforms.xml to zlib 8.install edited applehda.kext and rebuild cache don't understand or any problems? write me PM
  18. I have an ALC888 audio chipset (VIA audio). I decided to patch up the latest AppleHDA.kext (10.8.2 version). If it doesn't work for you try changing the ID in the AppleHDAController binary to suit your PCI ID (not codec id ofcourse as that is ALC888 or 0x10EC0888) You can get your audio controller PCI ID from IORegistry or lspci Next look for and change: Find DE10E30B Change to XX (vendor upper byte) XX (Vendor lower byte) XX (Device upper byte) XX (Device lower byte) Example: 06118832 = 0x32881106 (allready supported as it is my audio card, VIA VT1708/A audio) DSDT edit is also needed... Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x04) { "layout-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x0C, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }, "PinConfigurations", Buffer (One) { 0x00 } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } This is the _DSM method for injection layout-id 12 Result works great... I'll be updating this codec with each release of OS X No assertion errors or so... If you all post your controller ID's I can implement them in each new release of the kext Screenshot under System Profiler below... EDIT: Update... just hacked the 10.8.3 kext... pleased to announce it works well ALC888_AppleHDA_10.8.2_ML.kext.zip ALC888_AppleHDA_10.8.3_ML.kext.zip

  20. Hello everybody. I have a problem while patching AppleHDA for my audio vt1802. I use a laptop which has below spec. Intel® Core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz Intel Cougar Point HM65, Intel Sandy Bridge VIA VT1802 Intel HD Graphics 3000 I followed great tutorials and now I have int. speaker, ext. headphone, ext. mic, and int. mic operating. Everything works just fine except that the internal microphone has super low sensitivity. At first, I thought it was not working bacause even thought it was listed on the SystemPreferences>Sound>Input section, the input level bar didn't show any response. But soon, I realised it does work because it showed reaction when I smashed on my laptop . So I concluded that the sensitivity matters. Now I'm looking for a solution to boost the int mic's input gain. What I've been trying are 1. add <key>Boost</key><integer>3</integer> in the node of mic's in Platforms.xml ==> no effect (one funny thing is that the ext. mic does have effect on this) 2. adjusting layout.xml 1) adding MuteGPIO in the Mic section ==> the entire sound lost 2) adding SignalProcessing properties ==> no effect (maybe some other changes exist but I didn't notice) [CodecVerbs] 02471c10 02471d01 02471e17 02471f90 --> int. speaker 02571c30 02571d40 02571e21 02571f02 --> ext. headphone 02971c20 02971d01 02971ea0 02971f90 --> int. mic 02b71c40 02b71d90 02b71e81 02b71f01 --> ext. mic (changed to line-in as you can see) 02470c03 02570c02 --> EAPD stuff I'm frustrated and almost given up. This post is the last hope . Please shed a light on me guys. I've attached ioreg, codecdump, layout.xml, and platforms.xml. Sorry for my poor English! Best regards. audio_data.zip
  21. Hi, I have gotten my hackintosh up and running with fully working 7970(edited Ebi personality), sleep and wifi but no sound! I have installed the AppleHDA.kext by RampageDev for this board and have a DSDT with working audio and 7970(onboard audio). Sound was working before but now it isn't! No kexts or DSDTs were edited. I noticed that whenever sound is working USB 2.0 isn't and vice versa.... :/ I have attached my current DSDT(DSDT-ebi.aml.zip) that I use to boot and also the unedited DSDT from my board. EDIT: SOLVED, it was a typical "HPET taking up IRQ lines from other devices", disabled serial port and extra GSATA controllers and removed HDAU devices from DSDT under GFX0 EDIT2: Files removed, never should have been uploaded, sorry
  22. I can't get the audio of my Asus P6T (just p6t: no deluxe, se, etc) to fully work. I know that it use ALC1200 (don't know if I have to use 885, 887, 889 etc) I've tried several guide but I always have some problems: 1- Only OUT line is working, can't get my microphone to work. 2- When I insert my headset on the front panel the sound doesn't switch automatically, i've to manually set to use headset from Preferences. (Still only OUT is working) Right now i'm using an AppleHDA.kext and at least I can hear sounds. I've tried several HDEF patch to my DSDT but with no success. I've attached my DSDT (clean verion, without HDEF) and the AppleHDA.kext that i'm using right now. If you need other info just ask and i'l update my post. Thanks for your help. 23. Hi there, I had to reinstall El Capitan on my Hackintosh, as it was installed in Clover Legacy Mode before (with everything working just fine). Now I installed it again in UEFI mode and since then, Audio (ALC892) is not working anymore (Neither in UEFI or Legacymode). I tried to install the same 2 Kexts as before (AppleHDA modified and HDAEnabler1) using Kextutility (wich was working fine before as well). It always fails to install AppleHDA, as it cannot Backup or modify the Original AppleHDA in System/Extensions (Can't copy sourcefile). I also tried the same, using the root Account, using terminal with kextunload / load and even a script for clover. They all fail to modify / delete the Original AppleHDA. Trying to rename / move or delete the Original file with Terminal or Finder is not working as well, I get an Error, saying that the file cannot be modified because OS X requires it. So how can I install the Kext to get my audio working again? System is El Capitan (10.11.6)... Thank You!
