llamafilm
I use my Hackintosh for high-speed file transfers. The USB 3 ports are not moving as fast as they should, and I don't know where to start troubleshooting this. For example, my USB 3 OWC RAID connected to a MacBook Pro gets about 390MBps write speed. On my Hackintosh, it gets around 290MBps. My motherboard has three USB 3 busses, plus a USB 3.1 (type A), and I've tried them all. No other devices connected except the keyboard/mouse. I never installed any USB-related kexts, it just worked OOTB. By the way the USB 3.1 port functions just like a 3.0, the OS makes no distinction that I can tell.
