Hi,

I am a new user and recently finished building my new hack. I am trying to install El Capitan 10.11.6 but when installing from the usb i get errors. Would someone be able to assist? I've been browsing the forums and tried a lot of things but i am getting no where. Any help would be appreciated. My hardware specs is in my signature.

Also here is my config file

Hello there!

Could you please upload your EFI so we can have a look at it. It would be easier to debug the problem if you could do that.

Regards,

Dwarfy

Hi Dwarfy,

Thank you for looking into this further. I copied the files over but is running into this error now. I will join the chat and hopefully we'll narrow down the problem.

Hi Dwarfy,

That seems to be the main problem i run into. I've tried before using different aptio files.

I have the latest bios from Asus Deluxe II

The best way would be to revert UEFI/BIOS, that might get rid of the  Aptio problem.

Hi Dwarfy,

the freeing low memory no longer appears. But now it's just  two lines

OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi

Using relic block: no, hibernate wake: no

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Ok, did you try the first EFI I sent with the BIOS/UEFI you reverted to?

Didn't try that one yet. I'll give that a shot.

If related to SIP, you can try this option with latest rev of Clover until installation finish / able to reach the desktop.

Thank you cecekpawon. I'll try that suggestions well.

Unfortunately i won't be home tonight due to work to test both suggestions. I will be able to try both suggestions tomorrow night and I will reply back with my findings. Thank you both for helping with this and i'll keep you posted.

Mem Map issues are very common with x99. Could also be related to that Broadwell-E is new. I don't know.

But as far as I know, Aptio problems can only be fixed with BIOS/UEFI upgrade or the revert to an earlier version(s). Of course Aptio and memfix drivers can also help.
