hst51
I was able to install El Capitan on my Hackintosh using the Chris' instructions and the Clover Special Edition 2.3k tool to create a USB installer. But I can only boot into El Capitan when the USB stick is inserted. What did I do wrong or is their something else I need to do to be able to boot from the system SSD? I'm a Mac noob so please don't take anything for granted in your reply. Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312655-how-do-i-get-the-boot-loader-on-the-system-drive/ Share on other sites

Thats why it won't boot. lexiq
What bigpoppa206 said. And if for some reason that doesn't work, you can also install clover on the EFI partition, which always worked for me. Check this thread for details. The recent versions of clover allow you to do that in a fairly easy way.
