spencerlievens
I really require some help. I have installed to my system using the ##### method with Clover as my bootloader. All the latest versions as of 24th April 2016 were used: El Capitan 10.11.4 ##### - 6.2.0 ##### - El Capitan 8.2.0 Clover - v2.3k r3423 UEFI CPU overclock and speed-stepping are working. ALC1150 for audio works (had to switch the cable to the rear output instead of the standard line-out). GTX970's both are picked up once I installed the Nvidia OSX driver. M.2 SSD works perfectly and there were no issues installing to it whatsoever. Now my issue. Memory. Here is my Clover Configurator screen for SMBIOS: and here is my Clover Configurator screen for BOOT: I have also enabled XMP in the Bios and it is registering the RAM at 1866 within the BIOS and on the POST screen on boot. El Capitan sees it like this: and "About This Mac" shows it like this: and like this: So as you can see my memory speed is not showing correctly. When I try adding the memory individually to SMBIOS in Clover Configurator like this: Upon restart it registers the speed and everything else correctly in Geekbench: "About This Mac" shows: and System Profiler shows no RAM: If people are wondering how I got Clover Configurator to select 1866 in the dropdown in SMBIOS, I didn't, I selected 1800, saved the config.plist and then opened the config.plist in Sublime3 editor and changed the 1800 values to 1866, like this: I have tried: XMPDetection enabled and Trust enabled XMPDetection enabled and Trust disabled XMPDetection disabled and Trust enabled XMPDetection disabled and Trust disabled If I do not create the memory in SMBIOS it shows at 1777MHz. If I create the memory in SMBIOS it then shows as 16GB ??? and nothing in System Profiler. Allan
Use this: https://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/SMBIOS#smbios_trust But keep in mind that using Tonymac tools can mess up the things, 'cause we don't know how these tools do in your Hack and neither give support. You are member since 2010, was time to know our rules. VERY IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ! (ABOUT TONYMACX86 AND iATKOS M / Y) Why InsanelyMac does not support tonymacx86 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311945-memory-issue-with-el-capitan-full-details-provided-please-help-d/#findComment-2234268 Share on other sites
