kaykaykaySomeSome
Hi, I would say I am an experienced hackintosh user with programming background, I started to use hackintosh since 10.7 and try to make it as vanilla as possible. I tried to upgrade my system from 10.11.3 to 10.11.4, however, it cannot get into the OS. Following is my config. Board: Z77-DS3H ver 1.0 CPU: i7-3370k Display: Onboard (HD4000) Lan: Onboard Sound: Onboard and USB Wireless: BCM94360 extra kext: FakeSMC, AtherosL1cEthernet I can boot from 10.11 -> 10.11.3 without any problem. During the normal situation, it boots from. Bios -> Clover boot loader -> a lot of text (I always boot with -v) -> white noise screen -> apple logo with progress bar -> OS On 10.11.4, it failed after the white noise screen. Bios -> Clover boot loader -> a lot of text -> white noise screen -> reboot. I tried the following solutions, All those methods allow me to boot to 10.11.3, but not 10.11.4 - Reinstall the OS to 10.11, and install combo update to 10.11.4 - Reinstall the OS to 10.11, and install combo update to 10.11.3, and install combo update to 10.11.4 - Change ram - Remove USB sound card - Remove Wireless card - Downgrade from OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi to OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi (FYI, I always use "OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi") - Apply and remove DSDT.aml - Change CsrActiveConfig from 0x03 to 0x67 - Upgrade and downgrade bios - Change smbios from macmini6,2 to imac13,2 - Upgraded clover to 3368 Anyone experience similar problem? any way to fix it? I have also attached my config.plist config.plist.txt Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311516-not-able-to-boot-into-10114/ Share on other sites

kaykaykaySomeSome
What is the last thing you see in verbose? The last thing I saw in verbose is "sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line xxx" "sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line yyyy" "sound assertion in AppleHDADriver at line zzzz" Then it's the white screen with noise. which is in between the verbose and a "success" graphical mode. and before booting into graphical mode, it restarts. Change CsrActiveConfig from 0x03 to 0x43 Tried 0x03, 0x43, 0x67, all of them not working. hello what i see in ur config is strange but if u say is working .. in kextandkernelpatcher section i don't see nothing to the cpu powermanagement setup (related to ivy cpu) graphics section u are using a ig-platform-id for a notebook 0x166 is mobile 0x162 is desk about acpi section u use several fix good hack - CPU I have my own SSDT, but I dropped it for testing different combination. With or without the SSDT still boot fine on 10.11.3, do you think I need extra kext for 10.11.4? - Graphics section Oh. My mistake, fixed it, still cannot boot into 10.11.4. I tried to remove the ig-platform-id value, lets clover detect it. - ACPI section Most of them are for testing, in normally situation, I skipped most of them, and still able to boot into 10.11.3, and still no success for 10.11.4 Any ideas? artur_pt
hello make ur config simple .. if u don't know for what is the key .. delete it and always boot verbose -v the ssdt is not enough .. that is for speed step .. u must have things about applecpupowermanager .. unless u use nullcpupowermanagement kext post photo phases from the verbose boot to see the msg related to kernel u say u boot every os x .. with that config.. that is more strange .. somethings i point is a no sense to boot good hack 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/311516-not-able-to-boot-into-10114/#findComment-2226150 Share on other sites
