WiFi and USB Broke After 10.6.8 Update Dell 1545

Here is a list of issues that came up after updating from 10.6.3 to 10.6.8:

-System is very slow, especially in System preferences and startup even though I'm using a SSD

-USB ports no longer work (worked in 10.6.3)

-WiFi no longer works (worked in 10.6.3)

-AppleACPIPlatform and IOPCIFamily kernel panic (fixed by replacing them with their 10.6.7 counterparts)

 

System Specs:

Dell Inspiron 1545

Intel Core 2 Duo T9600

GMA4500MHD

4GB RAM

Broadcom BCM94312HMG

 

UPDATE: The USB ports do work now, but the flash drives are not mounting automatically. I have to manually mount them in Disk Utility.

use the kext from 10.6.3 usbmasstorage and usbfamilly

 

and io80211 for the wifi

 

ur graphics are the cause of slow .. they will never work in any version of os x .. not compatible..

That was what I was thinking too, replacing the IO80211 kext with the ones from 10.6.3.

 

But I couldn't find any online so maybe you have a link to where I can download one?

I tried searching for the original kexts on the installation disk but I can't seem to find it.

 

Do you know which directory should I look for it in?
