aphex6b
Perhaps with some cards.. i think i tried this with a LSI one, but i could not get the kext to load earlier in the boot stage, so it was not recognized. However it came with EFI utlity too if i think of it now but i dont know if its any use also legacy clover has something called BiosBlockIO but i cant really say if that will help, maybe it can be done via use of external helper app Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/309797-osx-on-hardware-raid/#findComment-2195778 Share on other sites
Hangten
Try with your installer if it sees the hardware RAID as a disk then yes you can install right onto it, as for boot I use a fat32 USB 1gb micro flash card with clover on it or just use one of my other installs as my boot drive. Tried Mountain Lion in hardware RAID but it can't see my Marvell controller, does not work unless its a software RAID. Im not on an LSI Controller but my board comes with a built in Marvell RAID that is recognized by 10.9.0 and above. I can install right on to it configured in RAID 0 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/309797-osx-on-hardware-raid/#findComment-2195856 Share on other sites
