Prasys
Hey Guys, I need some help here. I am trying to get my Dell X300SE to work with OSX10.4.8 [Device ID :5b 60]. I have tried many ways. Yep , the kevorg's patch , callisto's driver , even a combination. It detects my X300SE and my Monitor [yipee]. But it shows Core Image and Quartz Extereme are unsupported I even tried to 'inject' drivers from OSX 10.4.5 [as I have heard it would work]. Do you have any ideas how to try it. If I use the default drivers , I would get a black screen whenever I boot up OSX on normal mode. But with Calisto's and kevorg's patch i could boot into the desktop but thats without QE and CI. Thank you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/30942-x300se-problem/ Share on other sites
iji oh
That's strange. I have the exact video card (a Sapphire ATI Radeon x300SE), and mine worked right from the start with a fresh install of Jas's 10.4.7. Core Image and Quartz Extreme were supported immediately, and all I had to do was manually edit some file or other to get the resolution to 1280x1040. Have you tried a fresh reinstall of 10.4.7? Prasys
nevermind , the old kext from OSX 10.4.4 did the trick. Now it works fine , but with image tearing.
