Laavuska
Hello folks!Unfortunately Im having quite bad problems again! At the moment I dont know how to continue with this problem. Some time ago I decided to test Windows 10 and for that I installed Windows 10 to my another hard drive using Bootcamp USB installer disk. When I used the OS, I used to disconnect my other hard drives. But today I felt lazy and decided to keep all connected. I booted to Clover menu and chose Windows Legacy HD 1. Everything working well so far. After some time I decided to return to OSX. I chose my El Capitan partition and immediately I received the OSX error sign. I tried booting with verbose mode and got this error message:Read error 0x12Read error 0x12Error loading kernel cache (0x12)Boot failed, sleeping for 10 seconds before exiting...I tried skipping caches and still the same error. I have tried to re-install the El Capitan using my USB installer. No luck, I still receive the error. I have tried to remove all the partitions, including efi with GParted and no luck...What should I do? I thought that the efi partition might be corrupted but even removing it using Gparted did not help. Currently Im using my Windows 10 hard drive. What should I do? Should I buy another hard drive? Is my hard disk broken? All the help is much appreciated. I was using Clover 3270. Laavuska
I should have been clearer. I'm able to install El Capitan just fine to the hard drive but when I try to start from the new partition, I receive the same kernel cache error. avkills
Not sure why you would use BootCamp to install Windows, since the hardware is vanilla PC parts. Anyway I learned the hard way (with Yosemite install) that your life is way easier if you disconnect all drives except the one you are installing to; I did Windows first this time, then OS X; both on different drives. Made my life much easier. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308253-windows-broke-my-el-capitan/#findComment-2173186 Share on other sites
